• How much manure is needed for 2 ropanis of a

Mathematics
curriculum contains the following
two strategies
• Develop required minimum mathematical
knowledge, skill and attitude to solve the
problems that arise while carrying out daily
activities after completing grade 5.
• Develop necessary mathematical knowledge and• Develop necessary mathematical knowledge and
skills needed as the foundation for lower
secondary level i.e. grade 6 after completing grad
primary level.

Student Assessment
1. Find out whether the students achieved the learning
outcomes or not
2. Find out whether the students have prerequisite
knowledge to learn a new lesson (concept/skill)
3. Give feedback to students about what they have learnt
4. Give feedback to teachers about the effectiveness of
their teaching (From Department)
5. Grade students by assessing their achievement
Following measures
should be adopted in grading
students:
• It is assumed that teaching learning can only be
meaningful when a teacher presents himself/herself
as a co-learner, facilitator, promoter and motivator.
• The process of solving mathematical problems by• The process of solving mathematical problems by
associating them with local ones has been
considered as the best teaching methods.
• Personal teaching in consultation with parents,
teachers and students is meaningful so this should
be given appropriate place in teaching mathematics.
