Scania is a large manufacturer of commercial vehicles and engines that needed to improve collaboration and knowledge sharing across its global organization and dealer network. It implemented Alfresco to provide a modular, standards-based content services platform. Key parts of the Alfresco implementation at Scania include deploying Team Room sites for groups like commercial operations, integrating with search and Office, and developing workflows for document release management. The modular design of Alfresco allows Scania to customize solutions for individual business units and partners while reusing common collaboration modules.
