I have been working for museums, libraries and archives since 1986, both Europe and the UK. My background is in the humanities, Art history and Philosophy M.A. and Information science, PhD. I enjoy working at the intersection of the two fields – explaining technical issues to curators and art history to computer programmers. I am involved in standards development with ISO and a long standing member of ICOM/CIDOC. Until 2008 I was working as Head of Documentation for the City of Geneva’s Museums of art and history, where I was responsible for the collections management database, Musinfo, the photographic studios, photographic library and web site.
