3. Despite developmental efforts, rural poverty, global hunger and
undernutrition with two thirds of the world’s hungry and poor currently
found in the rural sector continue.
Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services (AEAS) aim to create an
efficient, effective and synergistic linkages and partnerships between
stakeholders in the agricultural value chain to improve the delivery of
services to farmers.
Extension is seen as a major influence in furthering rural innovation and
development. the vision of extension has changed.

4. Innovation is the process of generation, diffusion, adaptation
and use of knowledge.
Enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of AEAS requires,
developing and adapting innovative approaches, methods
and tools for delivery of AEAS and ultimately scaling them up
and out.
Capitalizing on their personal years of experience in farming,
farmers adopted some particular crops and cultural methods
that best suit their environment.
Therefore the AEAS integrated communication system
approach promoted aims to help them improving their
productions by sharing updated agricultural methods and
lead them into the agribusiness model. 4

8. about in the behaviour of AEAS providers
8
AEAS providers will shift from the transfer of technology
approach to an integrated one with young farmers’ participatory
extension approach. They will build the advice with answers on
how does the farmer manage, why his methods, which are his
results and what are his loopholes.
9. In the behaviour of farmers
9
The promoted approach aims to build stronger linkages
between farmers in rural groups so that innovations can be
experienced by some of them and easily spread out through a
farmer to farmer communication. If farmers are proud of their
success, they will be happy to share they experiences with
others.
10. In the behaviour of other value chain actors
10
Listening to the farmers’ needs and paying attention to their
results will bring and inclusive commitment from the value
chain actors. Communication strategy will lead actors to a better
professionalization, anybody being called to bring specific
answers to specific questions, leading to a global goal.
11. Basically, farmers trust farmers and on the other hand, youth
like ICTs so if they are aware of the benefit they can get from
that they will follow.
The innovation is expected to be perennial as farmer will find
their interest in sharing experience and knowledge.
Develop mobile advisory services.

12. AEAS integrated communication system is an innovative
approach to bring specific solutions to specific problems in
the agricultural production of a specific area, and share with
other areas facing the same difficulties.
Exchange with farmers to identify their cash-crops, to be
informed about their methods, needs and loopholes is the
key.
The implementation process will start by selecting two
villages in an agro-ecological zone an apply the approach.
