Sector overview
Scope of report
As the IoT wave is hitting every device whether personal or commercial, it is impacting everyday home devices as well. Smart
Homes sector is coming up as there is need to automate everyday repetitive home functions and make them more efficient.
Dumb home devices are giving way to smart solutions.
This report covers connected solutions which enable monitoring and control of home devices and operations. Report covers
companies which are developing solutions for automating home functions, these solutions are connected to users smartphones
through cloud giving user higher level of insight and control. Report also includes smartphone apps which are able to connect to
most of home automation devices thus making them interoperable and acts as a common platform for monitoring and control.
All the companies developing home devices that are not connected to cloud and are dumb are left out of this report, devices
which are remote controlled using IR or Bluetooth are also excluded from this report.
The scope of this report includes equity as well as debt funding received by the companies.

Smart Homes sector is coming up as there is need to automate everyday repetitive home functions and make them more efficient. Dumb home devices are giving way to smart solutions. This report covers connected solutions which enable monitoring and control of home devices and operations.
