breathtaking sunrise view over Everest Mountain from Kalapathar with excursion to base camp of

way to Gokyo which offers 360 degree panoramic view of all major peaks in Khambu & Makalu

taking Base Camp trek.

Best Season:-
Nepal is year around travel destination however the best time for this trek is from March till May
and from September to December. Trek will be also possible during January and February which is
winter period in Nepal and expected snowfall on higher elevation. June is pre-monsoon period;
July and August are monsoon period in our area.
Trek itinerary:-
Day 1: Fly Kathmandu/Lukla (2860m) and Trek Phakding (2610m) – 3 hrs walk
Early morning your will be escorted by your trekking guide to Kathmandu airport. Together with
your guide, you will board the scenic flight to Lukla. You will be joining and introduced to your
other trekking crew who will be waiting for your arrival at Lukla Airport. Start your 3 hours trek
through the pine forest to Phakding.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are lunch & dinner at lodge.
Day 2: Trek Namche Bazaar (3440m) – 6 hrs walk
After breakfast at your local lodge, you will enjoy escorted trek to Namche Bazzar following Dudh
Koshi River through dense Pine and Juniper forest. You will be accompanied with great view of
Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse and other several peaks from the top of Larja Doban. Another 2 hours push
will lead you to Namche Bazaar which is the largest Sherpa settlement in Nepal. Free time on own
to stroll local market area.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route &
dinner at lodge.
Day 3: Acclimation day
To make your acclimatization process better and easier, it is advisable to take an excursion to
Syangboche which offer the panoramic view of Everest and other mountains in Khambu region. If
interested then you can continue to Khamjung village to see preserved ‘Yeti Skull”. On the way also
visit Everest View Hotel. Return back to Namche for overnight stay.
Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route and dinner at lodge in Namche.
Day 4: Trek Tengboche (3867m) – 5 hrs walk

Morning start your trek to Tengboche monastery passing Sherpa settlements in Kyangjuma and
Phunki Tenga. Your trekking trail passes through Rhododendron forest with excellent view of
Amadablam Mountain, Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Cholaste, Thamserku etc. Upon reaching at
Tengboche, check-in at your lodge. Evening your guide will take you to Tengboche monastery
which is the largest Buddhist monastery in Everest area to see the evening rituals.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route &
dinner at lodge.
Day 5: Trek Dingboche (4410m) – 5 hrs walk
Morning start your trek to with your trekking crew by passing Deboche and Pangboche. Reach to
Dingboche. Free time on own or you can possibly enjoy a short hike in near-by place.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route &
dinner at lodge.
Day 6: Acclimatization Day
You will be staying at Dingboche as an acclimatization process. Your body needs to adjust as per
the altitude to minimize and avoid the case of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) or other discomfort
due to altitude. However you are strongly recommended to do excursion to near-by area to speed
the process.
Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route & dinner at lodge.
Day 7: Trek Lobuche (4940m) – 5 hrs walk
Trek to Lobuche by passing Thokla Pass (4840m) and stone memorial built to commemorate Scott
Fischer. Lobuche is famous place in Everest region to see excellent view of Khumbutse, Lingtren,
Pumori and Everest Range.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route &
dinner at lodge.
Day 8: Trek to Everest Base Camp (5364m) and down to Gorekshep (5170m) - 7 hrs
walk
Morning you will meet by your guide and briefing will be done regarding today’s trekking route.
Today is the highlight day of your Everest Base Camp trek as you will be reaching to the platform of

the highest peak in the world. Today trek will give you answer of the question that arose in your
mind before the trek such as How long does it take to climb Mount Everest Base Camp? Where is
Everest Base Camp? How do you get to Mount Everest Base Camp? Explore the base camp area and
return back to Gorekshep for overnight stay. You are not recommended to stay overnight at Base
Camp as there are no local lodges in the area and the maximum altitude may trigger the Altitude
Sickness.

Day 9: Kalapathar Sunrise Excursion. Trek down to Dzonglha (4860m) – 7 hrs walk
Early morning brace your to enjoy beautiful sunrise over Mount Everest and other ranges.
Kalapathar is vintage point to see the best sunrise view of Everest, Nuptse II and Changtse with
glimpses of the northern flank and summit of Lhotse. After spending time for photos, return back
to Gorekshep for breakfast. After breakfast walk down to Lobuche and take a right route to reach to
Dzoonglha. Toady you will walk for total 7 hours.

Day 10: Cross Chola Pass (5368m) and trek to Gokyo village (4800m) – 7 hrs walk
Today you will get experience crossing high pass in Everest region. To avoid the strong wind and
melting ice by sunlight, you will be starting your trek early morning before sunrise. You guide will
brief you and take all the safety equipments for successful passing of Chola pass. Stop for view and
photo snap at top of the pass offering excellent view of the Himalayan ranges. 3 hours further walk
will bring you at Thangnak (4678m) where you will stop for lunch. After lunch continue your walk
to Gokyo. We will follow the edge route of the Ngozumpa glacier which is the longest glacier in
Nepal. Reaching the other side of the glacier, we get view of the second of the Gokyo lakes on the
series of six lakes. Check in at lodge available locally. Rest of the day is free to enjoy the Gokyo lake
view.

Day 11: Rest day in Gokyo or excursion to Gokyo Ri [5357m] – 4 hrs walk
Day is free at Gokyo. You are strongly recommended to take an excursion with your guide to Gokyo
Ri for best view of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makalu. The viewpoint

at Gokyo Ri is also known as Scoundrel's Viewpoint. This is perhaps the best viewpoint on Earth to
see the panoramic view of the Everest range and all major peaks located in Everest region. Return
back to your lodge for overnight.

Day 12: Trek to Dole (4110m) – 4 hrs walk
You will walk down following the Ngozumpa Glacier from where Dudh Koshi River emerges. Pass
Second and first series of Gokyo lakes to reach a small stream by crossing iron bridge. On the right
side you will see spectacular view of Cholaste and Taboche peaks towering on the skyline. Stop at
Chodoten to see the view of Thamserku, Cho-oye and Kangtega mountain peaks. Follow the
downhill trekking trail to reach Machhermo. Continue your walk to Dole and check-in at lodge.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route &
dinner at lodge.
Day 13: Trek down to Namche – 5 hrs walk
Follow the downhill trail to reach to Namche Bazaar. Rest of the day is free to relax your muscle or
you can utilize this time to stroll around the market area for last minute shopping.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route &
dinner at lodge.
Day 14: Trek to Lukla – 5 hrs walk
Trek down to Lukla following Dudh Koshi riverline. Upon arrival at Lukla, check-in at your lodge.
Free time on own to relax at lodge.
Accommodation will be at Local Lodge. Meals included today are breakfast, lunch en-route &
dinner at lodge.
Day 15: Fly Lukla/Kathmandu
Your guide will escort you to Lukla airport to board flight back to Kathmandu. You will see off your
porters and other trekking crew at Lukla. Upon arrival in Kathmandu you will get transferred to
your hotel.

Additional Note: For permit issuance and trek briefing, you need to arrive in Kathmandu 2 days
prior to flight (Except Public Holidays/Saturdays in between). Further we recommend you to
keep additional 1 night buffer before your international flight connection day after trek. Flights to
