Brief Profile
I am currently Heading/Leading the Bioenergy Section at GIZ Energising
Development Ethiopia. I obtained my first degree in Economics and did my post
graduate degree in development & International Economics from Nagpur University,
India. I started my carreer with different private companies from coordinator to the
level of Deputy General Manager Position in business and marketing fields. I have
done intensive work with development & non-governmental organization as well
liaising with government partner offices in the last 15 years. I have a cumulated
knowledge and experience in the area of market development of Renewable energy
technologies, micro finance as well as project design & implementation among
others.
As a development worker I am advocator for sustainable development and poverty
reductions programs.
I am also actively working on market development & access to finance in the energy
sector through GIZ EnDev.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Bioenergy Section Head, GIZ EnDev, August 2014 – To date
 Participates in identifying needs for external support and advice, elaborates on policy
recommendations and develops a strategic approach
 Contributes to preparation and implementation of the consultation process, the
project’s/program’s activities, and efforts at federal and regional level
 Supervises development and implementation of project/program plans and activities in
close coordination with implementing and cooperating partners and EnDev ET regional
offices
 Conceptualises, prepares and implements workshops, seminars, and other events on RE
technology and market development
