The landscape of employment law is ever evolving and can be
complex and overwhelming for both HR professionals and
managers alike. One inappropriate action, response or decision
by a manager can put your organization at risk for a lawsuit that

THE BASICS OF EEO LAW
This course explores the laws and statutes that relate to Equal Employment Opportunity.
Participants will learn the latest laws and recent trends and developments in harassment and
discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and diversity.
ADVANCED EMPLOYMENT LAW IN THE WORKPLACE
This course provides a deeper analysis into employment discrimination law. A case study
approach will allow participants to analyze employee discrimination and harassment issues that

practical techniques that allow them to be proactive rather than reactive to potential
discrimination and harassment claims.
JOB PROTECTED LEAVES AND ACCOMMODATIONS
Job protected leaves and disability accommodation request have been identified as one of the
most complex challenges for managers. The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the
American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA) are very broad laws that can be interpreted differently
on a case-by-case basis. To add to the complexity, these two laws have enormous intersect that
can create confusion and chaos within an organization. This course navigates through the
complexities of the FMLA and ADA and outlines the roles and responsibilities that managers
have in managing leaves and disability request in the workplace.
FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT
Violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws can cost organizations

what is and what is not considered compensable time; common misclassification issues;

THE BASICS OF EEO LAW This course explores the laws and statutes that relate to Equal Employment Opportunity.
