Ayub Khan MBE • Head of Libraries and Cultural Services for Warwickshire County Council, in the United Kingdom. • He was also Principal Project Officer for Library of Birmingham, the largest library and culture hub in Europe. • President of Libraries Connected (formerly Society of Chief Librarians) and he is past President of CILIP, the UK’s library and information association. • Director of Designing Libraries a key resource tool for architects and libraries • A Governing Board Member of IFLA and a past Member of the Library Buildings Committee. • A member of the British Library's Public Lending Rights committee. • He is the author of a number of guidelines on Library Buildings, including the book 'Better by Design' (published by Facet Publishing). • Ayub was awarded an MBE by the Queen for his services to libraries.
