what age the person was diagnosed, as well as the implication of it to the transitional issues of the
person. Explain how the disability impacts the processes that occur during the identified transition stage

physiologically, and physically. Discuss the implications of the disability in the context of life stage
development including possible psychosocial crises and the impact on the transition. This means, how
the disability affects the person’s current life stage as well as their transition to the next life stage.
Normal and Abnormal Personality Development (3 pts): Identify differences between normal and
abnormal personality development for this stage according to your choice of theory.
Recommendations to address transition issues (3 pts): Discuss the strategies or recommendations to
address the negative consequences of the disability on the life stage processes, including counseling
recommendations. These should be the evidence-based or promising practices identified in the
literature.
Systematic and Environmental Impacts (1 pts): Identify systemic and environmental factors that may
affect transition and briefly describe one or two strategies to work with families/ advocates to influence
these factors.
Wellness and Prevention (1 pts): Discuss ethical and culturally relevant strategies for promoting
wellness, resilience, optimum development, and illness prevention using community resources.
