2. Talcott Mountain State Park, a
475 feet hiking trail, at the top
there are picnic areas, and the
trail has scenic views.

Mountain hike trail is the
Heublein Tower, which was
built in 1914. This image is
the top part of the 165-foot-
tall building. From the top
you can see the Hartford
skyline and the Farmington
River Valley.

Gilbert Heublein was the founder of
Heublein Inc; was hiking with his
fiancé Louise Gundlach on Talcott
Mountain, he promised he that he
would build her a castle here on
day. Gilbert was a magnate in the
area of food and beverage, most
notably as manufacturer of A1
Steak Sauce and Smirnoff Vodka.
6. World War II Monument,
dedicated to 650 Men and
Women of the community who
fought in the war from 1941 –
1945.
7. The Drummer Boy in the Green
Village. The Sculpture was created
by Wolfgang Behi, a bicentennial
project of citizens of Bloomfield.
The sculpture is of a Revolutionary
War drummer.
