One hundredpatients were includedinourstudy,
Inclusion criteria
All patientswas
1. Sinusrhythm
2. Chronicprimary severe mitral regurgitation( MR jetarea more or equal to30 %of
the LA area , PISA=0.6 ,MRJA more than10 cm )
3. LVEF More than60%
4. LVESD lessthan45mm
5. No significantothervalvularheartdisease ( noaydegree of mitral andor aortic
stenosis,nomore thanmildaorticregurgitation) exceptof tricuspidregurgitation
Exclusion Criteria:
1. AF
2. Secondarymitral regurgitation
3. LVESD more than 45 mm
4. Anydegree of mitral or aorticstenosis
5. More than mildaorticregurgitation
6. Bad echocardiographicwindow
7. Un-Cooperative patients
All patientssubjected to:
 Writingconsent
 History
 Full clinical examination
 Transthoracicechocardiography( vivid3GE, Adultprop)
 Tissue Dopplerimaging
 20 patientssubjectedtotransoseophgealechocardiography
