Vukašin Stojkov, founder of StartIt, Serbia's leading organization for supporting start-ups and innovative entrepreneurship, presents Serbia's and StartIt's experiences in developing the community and encouraging growth of small businesses and entrepreneurs. The presentation was given within the seminar SEE MIKTA: Innovation and Entrepreneurship, organized on 23 November 2017 in Belgrade, by NALED and embassies of MIKTA countries - Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, Turkey and Australia.

3. Trump got elected because people’s lives are not meeting their
expectations. But no one is talking about solutions because there aren’t
any. Blaming globalization is wrong.
It's microchips, not Mexico, taking away our jobs. A few apps came along,
and look what happened to taxis by Uber. That’s what’s going to happen
to a lot of businesses at a pace no one can even imagine. In the next five
or 10 years, artificial intelligence, big data and robotics will eliminate
thousands of white collar jobs as globalization once did to blue collar jobs.
That will have a devastating effect on the economy not trade agreements.

6. Uber, the world’s largest taxi company, owns no
vehicles. Facebook, the world’s most popular media
owner, creates no content. Alibaba, the most valuable
retailer, has no inventory. And Airbnb, the world’s
largest accommodation provider, owns no real estate.
