Consolidation of Investments Using SAP BPC 10.0 NW- A step by step
guide

Consolidation of Inverstments is being done using Business Process Flow(BPF). All the
current business processes and the to-be processes have been collected and executed at
one place - through Buiness Process Flow(BPF).

BPF-1.1 Upload GL Data

The following screen, at the bottom half of the screen, shows the SUB ACTIVITY –
Upload GL Data.

When the SUB ACTIVITY – Upload GL Data, is clicked, the following screen is shown.
User has to click the link – Upload GL data.

Upon clicking the Upload GL Data link, the following screen(from Data Manager
Package) allows the user to select the flat file, which is having the GL data, from the local
system and to upload the file to the BPC server.

In the following screen, user can specify the GL data file and then, save it to the BPC
server by clicking the Save button.

Once the file is saved to the BPC server, the following prompt is shown to the user.
Click OK to this prompt.

The following screen shows link at the right hand of the screen – Preview Data, to
preview the data just saved. Clicking the link will show the next screen.

Highlight and click the SUB ACTIVITY - Calculate ULT. Ownership, shown below.

Create the Entities’ Ownership structure in the following screen. Make sure an entity is
created for the Holding company.

Highlight top level group at the left hand side and then, click the Calculate button at the
top right side. This will pull Ownership data, enter earlier thru Input Form, and show it in
the PCTL and POWN columns’ Current sub-column.

This screen provides options to Generate proposals(on methods and Consolidation
percentage based on Ownership data and Methods/Share data.

These proposals can then be used the system or can manually be edited by the user and
then be used for Consolidation.
