Not subject to RMD (Required Minimum
Distributions)
Principal can be withdrawn without tax or penalty
(account must be open for at least 5 years)
Distributions from Roth IRAs to beneficiaries: Not
taxable if Roth IRA was established at least five years
before distribution occurs

7. Distributions
Generally, if under 59.5, distributions will be subject to
10% penalty on earnings
Unless:
-Disability
-Death
-Substantially Equal periodic payments
-Unreimbursed medical expenses
-First time home purchase
-Payment of higher education expenses for you or
family member
There are other exceptions too
