have tried to meet your requests as stated in your letter of that date and I hope the report is useful for you
and your office.
Methodology
My research on your assigned topic involved meeting with students and teachers and ask questions about
3G and 4G technologies which are penetrate rapidly in society and the trend to use fast internet services
begin in Pakistan. I conduct survey through questionnaire and discussion on with different students
regarding these technologies.
Highlights
The report conclude with discussion that people in Pakistan gradually aware of these technologies and
they adopt these technologies. The brief conclusion is given in conclusion part.

3. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Introduction
Recent years have witnessed a dramatic transformation and innovations in the
mobile industry. The mobile has become the dominant form of
telecommunications technology; mobile broadband has dramatically increased;
smartphones and tablets have driven a trend towards convergence; mobile has
become major source of communication. As world is progress in technology
government of Pakistan took a decision to launch 3G and 4G technologies in
Pakistan which become the major milestone now a days and government earn
huge revenue from auction and it is the major source to bring foreign
investment in our country. So, telecommunication networks has the dominant
influence on society.

4. BACKGROUND
As 3G technology which is founded on the ITU ( International
Telecommunication Union ) group of a standard which belongs to the IMT-2000
use W-CDMA technology. It allows operators to provide users a bigger range of
the latest services, as it gets bigger network capacity via heightened spectral
efficiency.
Whereas 4G technology which was started within cable television industry in
2009 which make users to explore new downloading speeds and capabilities.
The utilization of LTE mobile broadband technology is an opportunity for the
corporation to expand its horizons into 4G territory, upstaging current 3G
capabilities.

5. RATIONALE
As we know government of Pakistan recently launched 3G and 4G technologies
in Pakistan this is the major issue now a days it is the need of people because
world is progress in technology new electronics, technology oriented
applications are invent daily and millions of people daily interact with the
network like Facebook, Skype, YouTube, etc. to communicate with each other.
People live in abroad want to communicate with their families and need fast
internet connection to well communicate with each other. So, 3G and 4G
services fulfill their desires and engage people with the internet. Now a day’s
fast internet is the need of every person. The Government of Pakistan auction
3G/4G spectrum which is the major milestone towards improvement in
Technology.

6. IMPACTS OF TECHNOLOGY ON SOCIETY

7. SURVEY REPORT
I conduct this survey from the students of University of Management
and Technology (UMT) and survey basically conducted from both
male and female students. Mostly people I met and experienced was
that they are happy to have these technologies (3G and 4G). Survey
report is basically consist of 20 questions from which 18 major
questions statistics are shown in table below.

11. CONCLUSION
The work I have done in this report reveals that mostly youngster in our society
are well aware of these technologies. Survey conducted from students also
predict that student are happy to get the facility of 3G and 4G and also income
of telecommunication industries increases, Govt. earn huge revenue from
auction of these technologies. Impact through these technologies are mostly
positive the reason behind is that we live in an under developing country and
we need these types of initiatives to progress and compete with the world.
