Thomas Tallis school is moving to a new building soon. We started a project called Thomas Tallis - Past, Present, Future. In this melancholic mood our Deaf did some thinking about the Deaf History. Here are some of Kayleigh's and Habib's thoughts about the FUTURE of Deafness.

2. Idea 1 There is 95% chance that a deaf child would be born in a hearing family  So when the mom is talking to a deaf child then the child could put on the glasses and see the signing person signing what their mum just said.    when the deaf child is signing back to their mom, the mom wears the headphone with a little camera. The camera would pickup what the child is signing then translate into SSE and speak into the mom ear. Camera

3. Idea 2 All the hearing people could learns all the important sign then it would be easy for everyone to communicate. For example .... if a deaf girl want a doctor appointment then she could sign to the person at reception and person at the reception could sign then it would be easier for the deaf because then we don’t have to shout or write on the paper. We asked 10 people if the want all hearing people to learn important sign:

4. Idea 3 • Our hearing aid battery should work a least a year instead of running out after 2 days. That way we could save trip to the guy hospital getting some new battery. We asked 10 people how long do they want their battery to work.
