2. Dear Fellow Teachers,
As you know, teaching is not always easy. Therefore, in this document I am going to give you advice that
might help you.
Best regards,
Fiona Marge
In the beginning of the year, you might want to show your students a PowerPoint about class rules. If you
are searching for one, I uploaded one on Slide Share.
In the middle of the year, students might forget about the rules and act crazy. So something else you can do
is talk to them about the rules again and if they still don’t follow them, you can give warnings (will be
mentioned below.)
In the end of the year, between periods, students will start getting tired from maybe the pressure or even the
weather. What you can do is show them a 5-minute video (maximum) in the middle of the period to freshen
up their minds. (Videos will be suggested below.)
Warnings: There can be three stages: 1. Oral warning 2. Note to parents 3. Send to office. You can give the
warnings when homework is not done and it is not the first time, when students are rude or when bullying
starts.
I mentioned above 5-minute videos (maximum). Here are the ones that I let my students watch:
Charlie the Unicorn: http://www.youtube.com/user/SecretAgentBob
By the way, Film Cow has more shows.
Annoying Orange: http://www.youtube.com/user/realannoyingorange
Fred: http://www.youtube.com/show/fred
And more…
These are just a few channels that you can show them. If you have anything else in mind, you can do it.
Also, if you are searching for a grade book, a great one would be from www.superteacherworksheets.com
Hope this helps!
