2. Introduction
• Automation: It is the act or process of converting the
controlling of a machine or device to a more
automatic system, such as computer or electronic
controls.
• It means the capable of operating without external
control or intervention.
• Everything in the world mostly depends on
automation techniques like web browsers and ATM’s
and many more.
3. Trends
• Basically this technique can be described into three major blocks
in my view.
• 1 Remote Control
Ex: TV, AC etc..,
• 2Voice based Automation
Some small mobile apps are playing a key role and some
home automation techniques are also available as projects.
• 3Automatic Controls (Others)
Ex:-Web automation:- Download a file from Internet, Image
recognition after uploading an image in facebook, It will
recognize all faces in that image.
IT Automation:- Automate Installation, Server monitoring,
Synchronize folders and many more.
4. Trends
• All the three have their unique uses and identifications in their
respective fields.
• I hope voice based automation is going to create a big impact in the
next five years and we can not say the other techniques are not going
to change but they have already impacted and they are going to
increase as much as possible.
• Humans want a lot of comfort and they don’t want to waste their time
so they need some automatic process and now we are calling that
process as IOT(Internet of Things) which is nothing but a connection
of everything automatically.
• For example while we are on the way to our home, at particular point
may be at some distance our car can give automatic signal to our
house and it can switch on as per our requirement this is known as
Internet of things.
• This also need automation.
5. Interest Area:
• My interests are in Home automation techniques and Internet of
things.
• My intension is to make available our next generation house for our
next generation. I mean, from my childhood I am always watching that
controlling home applications with physical phenomenon i.e., we need
to go to the switch board and we need ON/OFF using out finger.
• Moreover a lot of techniques are available to control home appliances in
our workspace like projects but nothing is going to work in our real life
I mean in our homes.
• DTMF, Arduino based and sensor based techniques are available and
voice based using Raspberr pi is one I submitted my paper at IEEE.
• If I got a chance to do internship I will choose to work on smart home
automation because I am able to avoid a lot of problems with the
previous techniques and moreover I am working on it.
