1. After birth
Piglet
• Cut the cord to prevent
infection/diseases
• Inject on the first day with
antibiotics – noromox

2. Sow
• Check temperature 38°C is normal
• Inject with antibiotic + oxytocin + rifen if temperature is
almost 39 – 40 °C above, she’s got fever.
• If temperature is around 38°C (normal) after giving birth give
sow only Rifen 5 ml for pain and Oxytocin for milk.
• Minimum days for antibiotics is 3 days

4. Medicines
• Rifen – for pains
• Oxytocin – for milk and
• Ethacilin – for bedleg + Rifen (pain killer)
• Anamycin 10 ml – antibiotic

5. sow
• If sow has discharge for 3 days after birth that is normal she is
cleaning herself but;
• More than 3 days after birth she has flåd (inside infection)
• If sow doesn’t eat, it could be maybe she has too much food
or she has temperature “fever” (you must give her antibiotics
minimum 3 days) or she has a bad leg (give Rifen for pain)
