Automation is the name of the game in today's market, and RDS brings that automation to setup, maintain, upgrade, and scale relational databases. In other words, RDS provides relational database as a service in AWS cloud. My goal with the RDS team is to build smart tactics that could predict database/disk/network failures and fire the suitable actions that could proactively avoid these failures, which will ultimately present a more reliable and highly available database service to our customers.
