Emaud Launch Day
1. “ European Market Access Policies: Addressing the Challenges for the Next Decade” “Government & Industry Viewpoints” 8 December 2009, Paris, Ecole Val de Grâce EVENT – Launch Day of the 1st European Market Access University Diploma The international one-day conference on European Market Access Policies launched the EMAUD course. Seen as the fourth hurdle in drug development, Market Access is today an inescapable reality – sit at the crossroads of multiple disciplines, including health economics, pricing and reimbursement, risk management and decision sciences. Meeting this complex challenge depends as much on knowledge as it does on professional capability. The EMAUD has been developed to respond to the increasing demand for training in market access from the healthcare sector. The initiative has been led by Prs. Mondher Toumi and Michel Lamure from the University of Claude Bernard Lyon 1, with the participation of Pr. Marc Bui from the Ecole Pratique des Haute Etudes at Sorbonne-Paris. With industry needs top of mind, the ground-breaking EMAUD course offers world-class global learning experiences coupled with a wide range of expertise from institutional organizations, the academic world and the healthcare industry. Launching EMAUD that day was a success: more than a hundred participants from the industry (by invitation only), 14 top-level speakers, healthcare stakeholders from Europe (NICE, IQWIG, G-BA, HAS, CEPS, Catsalut, Ministry of Health of Hungary etc.) have agreed to share their experience and debate their viewpoints.
