Globalization has impacted Palestine in both positive and negative ways:
Culturally, globalization has weakened the Arabic language and led to less traditional clothing, threatening Palestinian heritage. Economically, factories have closed due to competition from imported goods, hurting employment. However, education has benefited from globalization, which has improved access to information, teaching methods, and international cooperation. To develop, Palestine must address the negatives while leveraging the positives of globalization by improving education and exporting products, without losing its cultural identity.

Globalization effect on palestine
1. Globalization Effect on Palestine
All people in Palestine ask the same question, does globalization lead to the development of Palestine or
does it negatively affect it? Globalization is causing a lot of change in Palestine, from the TV shows we watch
to the clothes we wear. To know the answer for this question I will describe the effect of globalization on three
aspects of Palestine: culture, economy, and education. Then we will decide if the effect is positively or
negatively.
One major area which has been affected by globalization is culture. But how globalization affected on
culture? To begin with, people are affected by the English language, which has become used everywhere as
storefronts and in advertisements. So, this effect leads to weakening the Arabic language. In addition to,
globalization has affected on clothing in Palestine by making wearing traditional clothes very little. For
example: people in Palestine were wearing the traditional Palestinian costume. But nowadays after people were
affected by foreign clothes nobody dressed this clothes.so, this change in culture leads to a failure to preserve
the Palestinian heritage. Thus, globalization has negative effects on Palestinian culture.
Economy of Palestine has changed because of globalization, how? And is this change increase or
decrease the economy of Palestine? According to a recent study in Palestine it says: many factories were shut
down due to poor selling of local products that they produce. The reason for this is that people no longer buy
local products because they are affected by imported and foreign products. For example: we have become
importing clothes and shoes from turkey and china also we import electronic devices from china and various
countries of the world. Thus, this makes Palestine a consuming country, not a producer. In addition, the
closure of factories leads to unemployment. Subsequently, the economy of Palestine will be weakened and
reduced. So, this weakens Palestine commercially, locally, and globally.
A third major aspect which has been affected by globalization is Education. So, is globalization
improving education in Palestine or not? To answer this question let us see what globalization has done to
education. In the past, education was limited as we were finding it difficult to know the news about science
around the world and we could not share our knowledge with others, and find out about new discoveries and
inventions. So, we could not improve education and teaching methods. But with development of technology
and communication around the world, we can use global and modern teaching methods, and students can get
information from the entire world. And we can cooperate with others countries to discover equations and
establish agreed scientific laws, and solving scientific problems. So, globalization seems to have had good and
positive impact on education.
In summary, globalization has both negatives and positives impacts on Palestine. So, we should benefit
from the positive side of globalization and try to solve the negative side to develop our country commercially,
locally, and globally, and make it better, by improving education, and exporting our products to the entire
world, also we should not forget our Palestinian civilization and heritage.
