This project is package 1 of the Asset Enhancement Scheme (AES) phase 1 which will provide long-term
solutions to meet population growth projections in accordance with the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Master Plan for
AL Mafraq and Baniyas areas.
The Consultancy Services cover construction management and head office support during construction, and
warranty stages for the successful delivery of the project.
I worked closelywith the construction team for planning/update construction program,coordinated allpermitting
requirements from authorities,planningprojectstaffdeployments and meetings requirement.My responsibilities
covered project planning, cost controlling, quality management, procurement of sub consultancy services and
communication planning.
The project consists ofcirca 20 km length of sewers which to be tunnelled,minimum diameter is 200 mm and
maximum diameter is 2400 mm,construction ofa 1600 l/s new main 36m deep pump station and demolition of
12 old pump stations.
Design Review and Site Overseeing of various Development in Abu Dhabi

This projectis to review the sewage system design for major developments (35 in number) in Abu Dhabi acting
on behalf of ADSSC checking for compliance with the technical requirements, design criteria and overseeing
the construction

ADDC Asset Management and Pipeline Condition Assessment
Client: Abu Dhabi Distribution Company
Role: Project Control Specialist – MWH
This water distribution renewal scheme program involves the survey and assessment of existing pipeline
conditions through the emirate ofAbu Dhabi as well as the preparation of a costeffective pipeline rehabilitation/
replacementimplementation program.(for approx. 1,000,000 km pipeline length and 10,000 various chambers
varying between system valves, control valves & hydrants containing not less than 200,000 asset).
Responsibilities covered projectcostcontrolling,qualitymanagement,procurementofsub consultancyservices,
and sub-consultants site management.
The Jabal Hasawna-Jefara Water Utilization System – Libya
Resident Project Manager / Project Coordinator
The Jabal Hasawna-Jefara System Area projectcomprises the firsttime provision ofirrigation water to a part of
the CSAA. The CSAA comprises 9 supplyareas – 3 of which (Areas1–3) are receiving irrigation waters under
the provisions ofa separate contract.This projectincludes for the provision ofirrigation for the remainingsupply
areas 4 – 9. The project area is approximately 100,000 ha. Each area comprises approximately 60 km of
transmission main pipes and 400 km of distribution main pipes.
Main tasks included:
Day to day Project/Client Management including meetings, reviewing submittals, coordination of sub-
contractors, supervising/managing Geotechnical and Survey works.
Responsibilities:Review and approve shop drawings.Follow up all stages ofthe construction works;assistthe
RE with promptexchange ofcorrespondence,submittals,and RFI’s.Attend progress meeting and note minutes
of meeting. Review contractor`s measurement sheets and payments. Orient, assign, and supervise the
construction inspection staff on a daily basis so that all contractor activities are adequately covered. Respond
with appropriate and necessary levels of construction supervision to provide quality assurance in accordance
with contract documents. Coordinate the interface of the construction work with other contractors on the site.
Orient inspectors to verify that the contractor is following the approved drawings and Health & Safety site plans.
Khalifa City B and Baniyas Extension Program – UAE
Project Controller
This projectcomprises the wastewater collection,drainage and irrigation networks for the new cities of Khalifa
and Baniyas, in Abu Dhabi (an area of over 9,300 ha). MWH is providing the following services:
• Preliminary,Final Designs and Tender Documentation
• Assistance during tendering and finalisation ofcontracts
• Supervision ofconstruction
• Commissioning
• Assistance during maintenance period.
This was a major program managed by MWH 1998 to 2007, my duties included all financials,sub projects
durations, site staffmanagementand reporting.
PROJECTS PLANNING/CONTROL DUTIES UNDERTAKEN:
 Work closelywith the construction team to review, update and control project activities dates and
durations and provide specific expertise in sewerage, irrigation and drainage to assist the team.
 Liaison with government departments and other agencies to obtain NOC's and verify design
standards and criteria, and to secure requisite approvals.
 Review, verify, evaluate and facilitate all variation orders. Ensure correctness and validity of
variation orders and recommend approval to delegated level of management
 Liaison and coordination ofassignments with the projects manager and residentengineer. Work in
Home Office Support for coordination of submittals and follow-up reviews.
 Reviewing and assessing legal and commercial requirements of contracts and controlling the
financial part of all contracts, I worked assisting all PMs in controlling and monitoring projects
performance,coordinating all projectworks nominated on and taking chargeofprojects closing and
final wrap-up.
 Projects financial management: Development of cost accounting system for projects cost
monitoring and revenue recognition on a monthlybase,preparing projectbudgets and Verifying all
expenses received with project managers and approving staff business expenses .
 Tracking projects invoicing process and follow up to maintain a healthy cash flow that satisfy the
business needs through working in close conjunction with key client representatives to insure a
smooth payment process.
 Tracking sub consultant’s financial status and payments and making sure that it’s as per
agreements.
PROJECT SITE DUTIES UNDERTAKEN:

 Act on behalf of RE with prompt exchange of correspondence, submittals, and RFI’s.

 Orient, assign,and manage the construction staffon a weekly basis so thatall contractor activities
are adequately covered.
 Follow up inspectors to verify that the contractor is following the approved drawings and Health &
Safety site plans
 Coordinate the interface of construction work with other consultants on the site.
COST CONTROL DUTIES UNDERTAKEN:
 Working on the implementation of automation systems using & programming new software’s for
Cost Accounting, Accounting, Payroll, Personnel and General Administration.
 Developing CostAccounting System to monitor the costof the different projects undertaken bythe
firm.
 Providing Management / Financial Reports regarding cost updates for projects underway.
 Compiling all data required to prepare financial proposals, both design and supervision, and
preparing financial proposals for submission to Business Development.
 Preparing projectbudgets for all awarded projects and updating/maintaining such budget,ensuring
it is adhered to by all concerned.
 Financial management of joint ventures agreements. Ensures mother companies and the joint
ventures are billed properlyand accuratelyin accordance with the jointventure agreementin effect.
 Processing all invoices submitted by sub consultants, in accordance with sub consultancy

PERSONNEL DUTIES UNDERTAKEN:  Ensures implementation ofCompanyPersonnel Policies.Ensures all personnel work is completed in accordance with approved procedures.  Oversees Personnel’s day-to-day activities and intervenes when and if necessary.  Implements actions on evaluations and initials related letters/documents.  Responsible for implementing recruitmentand hiring processes and procedures Company wide.  Ensure Personnel database is maintained properly.
