Model United Nations is a Student-led simulation of the United Nations where countries meet to discuss Global issues and
come-up with innovative solutions, taking into account the perspective from each participating country. Participation in such
events helps develop deeper understanding on Global issues and also helps develop Leadership Qualities.
CASI Maha Model United Nations is meant to engage school and college students from across all streams. Students meet to
discuss, debate and deliberate issues of global importance and learn about diplomacy, international relations and United Nations.
Participants develop speaking, debating and writing skills in addition to critical thinking, teamwork and leadership abilities.
Sharing your thoughts on this platform is valued since this is your opportunity to present your thoughts to the policy makers.

many Schools and Colleges (including EMRS, Kirti college of Arts, Science and Commerce, NB Thakur Law college,
S. K. Somaiya Degree college of Arts, Science and Commerce, K. J. Somaiya College of Science and Commerce,

Congratulations on the success of CASI Maha Model United Nations 2019. It was an
amazing experience for our students as well as teachers. Our students have performed really

throughout this period. Look forward to the next CASI Maha MUN Thank you once again.

Khusboo Muni
Delegate; Kenya | Committee: UN Population Fund
Participation has given me an immeasurable amount of self-confidence and turned my interpersonal skills around.
Earlier, I could barely form a coherent opinion about one's nation. MUN has taught me how to negotiate
through hours of painstaking resolution writing and persuade the common man with days of garnering the vote.
MUN has honed my research skills, taught me to perform under pressure with speeches in front of hundreds of
delegates, all silently judging and evaluating my policies and eloquence. It has also taught me to take the high road
to see and understand everyone's position and encourage a healthy debate on every subject, especially those we find
shocking or controversial, for the art of disagreement is the hallmark of a free society. I would say that this is the
most important lesson I have learnt. I’d say it's a pretty worthwhile activity and every student must participate.
CASI Maha MUN was well planned, where the parallel sessions held for individual committees and the UN
GeneralAssembly were intriguing. Mentors of all the committees were highly trained and made the participants
contribute successfully. I enjoyed the session in General Assembly, which simulated the real UN very effectively.
The topics selected by different committees were very interesting and the defense put up by committee members
showed the preparation done by them. Drafting of and passing the resolutions, and viting gave a real feel of the
actual United Nations activities. All the sessions and hospitality showed the expertise of the organizers.
makes us so Strong !

Participants actually experienced how UN works. This trained students from schools and colleges
from tribal to metro on how to put forth their thoughts and views regarding important issues within
limited words but with thorough study. This helps understand various country’s indigenous views.
Participation helped delegates how to prepare position paper and present it effectively and develop
leadership qualities. Students also experienced how to draw consensus. Participants develop critical
thinking, empathy and positive attitude. In my opinion every student from School and College
should participate in this event. This will be very helpful for their overall growth.
Vanshika Mithani
Delegate; Sweden | Committee: Road Safety & No Honking
I completely vouch for the fact that CASI Maha MUN was nothing short of a Treasure beyond
Measure. It was an extremely intellectually enriching experience where we got the opportunity to acquire
both soft and hard skills. We learnt a great deal about Global Safety Measures on Road Safety.
Our committee saw the initiation of various Moderated Caucuses, Formed Blocks, made working papers,
witnessed Voting and then successfully passed the Resolution with majority votes from various countries.
Team CASI has put together this masterpiece of an event. CASI Maha MUN is an experience of
a lifetime and I am looking forward to being a part of more spectacular CASI conferences to come
and also look forward to being a part of the next CASI Maha Model United Nations.

Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. It was not only an honor but also
an enriching experience to be a part of the CASI Model United Nations 2019.
I got so much to learn and we all made so many new friends as well. I hope
to get another chance to be a part of CASI Maha Model United Nations next year as well.
I strongly believe every student should participate in this event as it expands our thinking horizons
and the way we think international policies and politics. Thank you once again.
This was my first time. I was amazed to see how it works. I heard from my colleagues at CASI Maha Model
United Nations (MUN) that this one was better organised as compared to other MUNs they had attended earlier.
The organising team at CASI trains and ensures that each participant is able to make their position paper
and is ready for the event. We got to learn so much; especially how parliament and United Nations works and how
difficult it is to get all countries on the same page, especially when passing resolutions and making international laws.
The research done and presented by various delegates on respective countries and topics increased my knowledge.
I thank Team CASI & Government of Maharashtra for organising this event. Participation has helped me develop
my Overall Personality and Leadership Qualities. I urge all students to attend CASI Maha Model United Nations
Krishnakumar Joshi
Chairperson; Road Safety & No Honking Committee
This is a unique feature about CASI Maha MUN, which all delegates appreciated.
I am glad I decided to travel all the way from Belgaum to attend CASI Maha MUN making it absolutely worthwhile.
I hope I can be a part of all future CASI Model United Nations and other CASI conferences.
My committee had delegates from various schools and colleges representing many countries (China, India, Mexico,
etc.) Countries cast their votes to pass the resolutions. I am sure these resolutions will also grab attention of
Government of India policy makers as Delegates have given some very innovative, bright and out of the box
suggestions. Like the United Nations, CASI Maha MUN broke all language barriers; delegates were allowed to
speak in their preferred language. Interpreters were made available to benefit all delegates.

CASI Maha Model United Nations was a life changing experience for me. Getting this exposure while still in
school (class VI) means a lot to me and adds tremendous value. This has definitely given me not only clarity of
thoughts, but also helped me structure my thought process, which is my key takeaway from this event.
I presented my position paper and then all countries came together to vote and pass resolutions, this entire
process was very informative and interesting. I made a lot of new friends and mentors in the process.
CASI Maha Model United Nations is an experience I will never forget. Thank you for the opportunity.

  • 10. CASI Maha MUN 2019: Your Feedback Prof. (Dr.) Seema Purohit | Vice Principal Kirti College of Arts, Science & Commerce Prof. Vinod Patil | Principal Eklavya Model Residential School, Igatupuri (Ministry of Tribal Affairs) Makarand Pujari Chief Minister Fellow | Tribal Development Department Congratulations on the success of CASI Maha Model United Nations 2019. It was an amazing experience for our students as well as teachers. Our students have performed really well while competing with college students. They have spoken confidently and fluently as well. Four of them bagged the prizes as well. Important thing is “Maza aa gaya” It was a great experience working with CASI Global and CSR Diary. I have learnt a lot of things throughout this period. Look forward to the next CASI Maha MUN Thank you once again. CASI Maha Model United Nations 2019 was a memorable, knowledgeable and a great learning experience for all the participants. The purpose behind this event is 100% achieved. Our children from EMRS family got a huge and great platform to showcase their hidden talents. I am proud that our kids did really well and bagged many awards as well. Thank you for providing us with such an amazing opportunity. I congratulate CASI Global, CSR Diary and all other stakeholders involved in organising such a brilliant event. We eagerly look forward to being a part of the next edition of CASI Maha Model United Nations. Thank you. Khusboo Muni Delegate; Kenya | Committee: UN Population Fund Participation has given me an immeasurable amount of self-confidence and turned my interpersonal skills around. Earlier, I could barely form a coherent opinion about one's nation. MUN has taught me how to negotiate through hours of painstaking resolution writing and persuade the common man with days of garnering the vote. MUN has honed my research skills, taught me to perform under pressure with speeches in front of hundreds of delegates, all silently judging and evaluating my policies and eloquence. It has also taught me to take the high road to see and understand everyone's position and encourage a healthy debate on every subject, especially those we find shocking or controversial, for the art of disagreement is the hallmark of a free society. I would say that this is the most important lesson I have learnt. I’d say it's a pretty worthwhile activity and every student must participate. CASI Maha MUN was well planned, where the parallel sessions held for individual committees and the UN GeneralAssembly were intriguing. Mentors of all the committees were highly trained and made the participants contribute successfully. I enjoyed the session in General Assembly, which simulated the real UN very effectively. The topics selected by different committees were very interesting and the defense put up by committee members showed the preparation done by them. Drafting of and passing the resolutions, and viting gave a real feel of the actual United Nations activities. All the sessions and hospitality showed the expertise of the organizers.
  • 11. makes us so Strong ! Bhavya Gada Delegate; India | Committee: Crisis Prof (Dr.) Atish Taukari Dean; Extension & Research Acivities KJ Somaiya College of Arts & Commerce Participants actually experienced how UN works. This trained students from schools and colleges from tribal to metro on how to put forth their thoughts and views regarding important issues within limited words but with thorough study. This helps understand various country’s indigenous views. Participation helped delegates how to prepare position paper and present it effectively and develop leadership qualities. Students also experienced how to draw consensus. Participants develop critical thinking, empathy and positive attitude. In my opinion every student from School and College should participate in this event. This will be very helpful for their overall growth. Vanshika Mithani Delegate; Sweden | Committee: Road Safety & No Honking I completely vouch for the fact that CASI Maha MUN was nothing short of a Treasure beyond Measure. It was an extremely intellectually enriching experience where we got the opportunity to acquire both soft and hard skills. We learnt a great deal about Global Safety Measures on Road Safety. Our committee saw the initiation of various Moderated Caucuses, Formed Blocks, made working papers, witnessed Voting and then successfully passed the Resolution with majority votes from various countries. Team CASI has put together this masterpiece of an event. CASI Maha MUN is an experience of a lifetime and I am looking forward to being a part of more spectacular CASI conferences to come and also look forward to being a part of the next CASI Maha Model United Nations. Sachit Kapoor Delegate; Pakistan | Committee: UN AIDS Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity. It was not only an honor but also an enriching experience to be a part of the CASI Model United Nations 2019. I got so much to learn and we all made so many new friends as well. I hope to get another chance to be a part of CASI Maha Model United Nations next year as well. I strongly believe every student should participate in this event as it expands our thinking horizons and the way we think international policies and politics. Thank you once again. This was my first time. I was amazed to see how it works. I heard from my colleagues at CASI Maha Model United Nations (MUN) that this one was better organised as compared to other MUNs they had attended earlier. The organising team at CASI trains and ensures that each participant is able to make their position paper and is ready for the event. We got to learn so much; especially how parliament and United Nations works and how difficult it is to get all countries on the same page, especially when passing resolutions and making international laws. The research done and presented by various delegates on respective countries and topics increased my knowledge. I thank Team CASI & Government of Maharashtra for organising this event. Participation has helped me develop my Overall Personality and Leadership Qualities. I urge all students to attend CASI Maha Model United Nations
  • 12. Krishnakumar Joshi Chairperson; Road Safety & No Honking Committee This is a unique feature about CASI Maha MUN, which all delegates appreciated. I am glad I decided to travel all the way from Belgaum to attend CASI Maha MUN making it absolutely worthwhile. I hope I can be a part of all future CASI Model United Nations and other CASI conferences. My committee had delegates from various schools and colleges representing many countries (China, India, Mexico, etc.) Countries cast their votes to pass the resolutions. I am sure these resolutions will also grab attention of Government of India policy makers as Delegates have given some very innovative, bright and out of the box suggestions. Like the United Nations, CASI Maha MUN broke all language barriers; delegates were allowed to speak in their preferred language. Interpreters were made available to benefit all delegates. CASI Maha MUN 2019: Your Feedback makes us smile Anmol Virani Delegate; Iran | Committee: Road Safety & No Honking CASI Maha Model United Nations was a life changing experience for me. Getting this exposure while still in school (class VI) means a lot to me and adds tremendous value. This has definitely given me not only clarity of thoughts, but also helped me structure my thought process, which is my key takeaway from this event. I presented my position paper and then all countries came together to vote and pass resolutions, this entire process was very informative and interesting. I made a lot of new friends and mentors in the process. CASI Maha Model United Nations is an experience I will never forget. Thank you for the opportunity. Prof. (Dr.) K. H. Shinde | Principal RB Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur CASI Maha MUN was highly useful for Students andAcademicians. ExcellentActivity Success Ratio and Excellent Overall Management!!! Utkarsha Sonawane Delegate; Nigeria | Committee: UN World Health Thank you CASI for giving us this wonderful opportunity (MAHA Model United Nations) and a chance to sharpen and showcase our talents. Look forward to the next CASI Maha MUN. Thank you once again.
