General classification
Cow or also known as cattle are fourlegged
herbivorous mammal of the family Bovidae. Their
scientific name is Bos taurus. They have been
domesticated since ten thousand years ago and are
raised as livestock ever since. Beside that some of them
are also used as dairy animals for their milk and as draft
animals to work on a rice field.

5. Description
Cow has a large body. They can grow up to the
size of 1,3 m in height and 2,6 m in length.Some
species can grow even larger than that. The average
body weight of a male cow is 1.100 kg and the average
weight of a female cow is 720 kg. the gestation period of
a cow is about nine months. The average weight of a
baby cow, also known as “calf”, is around 25 to 45 kg.
The calf primarily feed on milk from their mother. Their
lifespan is around 18 to 22 years
Most of them have horns on their head, but
nowadays a species of hornless cow can be found
anywhere in the world. They have a long tail that they
can lift up and hold on horizontal position when they
want to defecate. The end part of the tail is covered by
long and black hair. There are various skin color of cow
in the world, some of them are: white, white with some
large and black spot in abstract shape, black, brown,
yellow and reddish
6. Eat and drink
Like other living things, the most important activity of
cows is eating and drinking to survive. Cows are
herbivorous animals that eat plants. Cows drink water
and milk from their mothers.
7. Study
Cows are learning creatures. Like humans, cows
also learn to do daily activities such as drinking
milk from a bucket and eating grass from a feeder.
Cows will learn to pick up on signals such as a bell
being sounded or a can being hit and interpret
them as lunch time or gathering time.

The habitat or place where cows live is on
land, more precisely on pastures or on
farms

To maintain the survival of cows, cows need to
breed. Cows reproduce by giving birth to their
young. In its infancy, cows do not metamorphose.
The cow will grow in size but not change its total
body shape. The life cycle of a cow starts from
calves, young calves, adult cows to give birth to
another calf.
Learning, interacting, eating and drinking, and
breeding, are cow activities that they do throughout
their lives. Thanks to the activities they do, cows
can grow into healthy cows and are ready to help
human life.
