2. ‘HEAT’- Beyoncé This advert conforms to the usual standard of perfume adverts; the model is centralised adding element of importance and due to the slight low angle, a sense of dominance is added . Connotations of red include heat, lust, pain, sensuality , love and empowerment. This is portrayed through her facial expressions which has been enhanced by the lighting. ‘Catch the fever’ suggests a sense that its a bad thing that you want which contradicts the purpose of a fever which is something you do not want . This could attract a male audience and allow them to believe that by having this product it would make the more attractive to woman . The mal model is centralised however the woman model is leant slightly to the viewers left ; this could symbolise the importance of men and how woman are controlled sexually by men , this idea is backed up with the fact that the man is clothed and the woman is not. The lighting seems brighter on the faced which highlight the expressions where the man seems distracted where as the woman seems intimate.
4. ‘Glow’ – JLO This advert also conforms to the usual standard of perfume adverts , it includes the perfume and a reflecting image with it. The colours used and mainly yellowy- green , this automatically gives a glowing element to the image with contrasts with the title of the perfume. JLO (Jennifer Lopez ), who is the model in this advert, only has her face clearly shown, the rest of her is blurred out with could suggest that this perfume radiates beauty which in this case is commonly shown trough facial features. JLO is not centralised and the bottle has been enlarged to her size, implying the perfume is just as important as the person who wears it.

It includes firstly a model who is stereotypically seen as beautiful; the lighting is high key emphasising and radiating her make up making her look clean , fresh and untouched. The title links with the image denoting what the model is doing Her bright blue eyes and outstanding red lipstick suggests dominance and confidence with most woman aspire to. BITE Taste the tension BITE
7. ‘Heather’- Heather(Subverts) This advert subverts to the usual conventions of perfume adverts . The model would not be classed as a stereotypically beautiful woman because of her size, what she is wearing, the childlike hair style on a plain white background. Every aspect of an advert usually links in with perfume and typically has a meaning throughout the image that contrasts with the title. In this case the name is too simple and basic, the product does not look appealing or attractive in any way. It would not appeal to woman because it does not have any sense of emotion in it; a woman cant look upon this and think that this could give her confidence, give her elegance or even make her feel as though she looks sexy or attractive.
