Thothney Khola Community Forest was established in 2050/Baishak 2 in Sarangkot-9 and consists of 153 houses on 81.5 hectares of land. It has 14 members (7 women and 7 men) divided into 5 groups for farming. Firewood consumption is 7-8 lakhs per year. Annual income is Rs. 8000-9000 from selling some firewood and timber. People of Ghandruk are creeping towards
development.
Living standard & Economic Sustainability.
Remittance inflow is high as a result of which
demand is high and consumption pattern is
increasing.
They are now aware about the importance and need
of vocational trainings(ACAP).
Capitalizing these ideas into agricultural areas &
livestocks.

burden” imposed on them.
Community lack adequate no. of youths.
Need to maintain strict administrative rules and
reforms from the government side to maintain
