1. Why did you use TESTA?
We usedTESTA for the Interconnection of our national
administrative network RedSARA with the networks
of the Institutions of the European Union and of other
Member States, that’s to say with TESTA. RedSARA,
which provides the Communications Network of the
Spanish Public Administrations, is connected through
the TESTA trans-European network with European
Union institutions and agencies, as well as with the
administrations of the other Member States, to allow
the effective integration of our Administration in the
various cross-border European services. TESTA is a
reliable solution for the information exchange between
European Public Administrations. It provides availability,
performance and security to these exchanges.
How did this IT solution help you?
In order to overcome possible challenges we decided
to connect as soon as possible to TESTA and to take
part as early as possible in pilot experiences over the
network as well as in the successive migration processes
of the TESTA platform.
The connection between RedSARA andTESTA allows
for the integration of the Administration into at least
21 services used by 16 entities corresponding to 18
sectorial areas; 4 of which correspond to multilateral
initiatives in which Spain is interested in matters of
Interior, Justice and Social Security.
What are the benefits of using TESTA?
In Spain, the connection of our national administrative
network RedSARA with TESTA allows the effective
integration of our Administration in European cross-
border public services. In fact this connection with
TESTA channels the traffic with cross-border services
under conditions of technical and economic rationality.
