Watching the Grown-Ups Make-Out

2. OK, I'm actually starting to feel guilty about this. Grayson quit his
job, to ensure someone would be home with the kids during
Audrey and Austen's shifts, but it's as if he just moved out and
never calls, and his family is missing him. True, they never roll
wants for him, but... I think I can see it in their faces? Anyway
I've slept since my little hissy fit, and feel much calmer now.
Besides, they're not platinum, so why should he stay that way
forever? It's not as if he can spend the points on perks.

3. And now everyone in the house is best friends with everyone else
in the house. Even Grayson. Must be all the time spent with the
kids while they were toddlers, and he was waiting to regain his
career levels.

4. Audrey: Now, there are only a few more points to go, with
encouraging, and they'll go faster while you're younger, so until
it's time for you two to grow up, we'll be working on personality.
Grayson: I guess I'll just quietly skill and stay out of the way.
Well, You could meditate again, if you want.
Grayson: No thank you. It's dead boring.

5. Happy birthday, Brianna and Baldo! I'm glad you were able to
grow up in green aspiration, at least. You still have a few points
left, but there's plenty of time, and now you can finally get
reasonably clean!
Tomorrow is a work day for both Audrey and Austen, but tomorrow
evening you'll get those last few personality points.

6. Brianna: I'm Knowledge/Popularity, and I like athletic mechanics
who don't have custom hair.
That's great, Brianna! I sure hope you roll lots of skilling wants.
Hey! I just noticed. You did inherit something from your
mother's genetics, after all. You got her beautiful eye shape.
How did I not notice that before?
Brianna: You never did a close-up?

7. Baldo: And I'm a Romance/Family sim, who likes charismatic
readheads who don't wear jewelry. Also, if we ever lift Culinary,
I can actually make Grandma's Comfort Soup.
That's... an interesting choice, Baldo. You're the spare, so unless
Military is lifted, you won't be getting married, but I hope you'll be
a happy uncle, at least. You're going to flirt with everyone who
walks by, aren't you? Well, it's good for the friendship network.
Just don't let your Mom catch you.

8. Baldo: No spongebaths for us, but at seven neatness points (with
more on the way), the handwashing is finally making a real
difference!
Just wait until your Mom lifts Adventure. You'll get a real boost,
then!

9. Awww, look at that beautiful green plumbob!
Audrey: I hope to make it to level 9 today.
Austen: And there's a very real chance that I'll lift Athletic today, as
well!
Good luck to you both! I'd cross my fingers, but if I did, I couldn't
type, so I'll just wish really hard.

10. Brianna: I am so glad to have some fun options for building skills.
Now, if I can just roll the right wants...
Baldo: I'm just happy to be able to have my Dad back with us, and
actually socializing again.
Grayson: Glad to be back, son. And I'm rolling skilling wants, too.
Let's all skill together!

11. Baldo: So that's how you make the candy bead necklaces I heard
the kids talking about at school.
Grayson: Makes you want to lift Culinary, doesn't it?
Baldo: Having more than one meal a day would be nice.
Brianna: So would cleaning up all those left-overs in the
basement. Imagine never being distracted by constant “clean
up” interactions that have to be cancelled.

12. Baldo: You know, if one of us lifts Business, and another lifts
Culinary, we could buy a pet, and feed it regular pet food. Think
how easy it would be to lift the last two pet restrictions, then!
Brianna: Plus, you could cure us with Grandma's Comfort Soup, if
we ever get the flu. Still, I'm not sure that's really the best
priority. Getting a college really would be a good idea. The
ghosts are going to start collecting, fast. I don't like being scared
by Grandma, and soon Grampa will join forces with her.

13. Baldo: Getting rid of the ghosts is good. And an Artist lift would
mean kids could have fun building Creativity, as well. With
enough fun skilling options, the Showbiz Pet restriction is kind of
toothless.
Brianna: And a Show Business lift would mean choices in clothes,
and we won't be stuck with the same hairstyle. Not to mention
the opportunity to marry in Mr. Big as soon as Law is lifted.

14. Baldo: So, Military, Education and Law lifts for us?
Brianna: Yeah, except how do I know what my husband will lift?
There's no way of telling what his career will be! I'd love to
marry a general, but I have absolutely no way of telling. I hate
the Intelligence restriction.
Baldo: Sigh. We're still too early in the apocalypse, sis. Just too
darned early.

15. Grayson: Is there even an Education listing in the newspapers? I
think I'll make myself useful and check them all. Maybe this
time, I'll write down what's listed, where.
Oooooh! Grayson, that is a fantastic idea! And I like you a lot
more, for it.
Grayson: Anything to get on your good side, Writer. Meditation is
lonely.

16. AUSTEEEENNNNNNN!
Austen: Yes, I lifted Athletic. And I actually wanted it, at the right
time, so I'm platinum, too! Woot!
This is an awesome lift. We can store all the stuff, move all the
stuff, jump rope, jump into arms, swing around, get athletic
equipment, including ballet barre (thanks to Grayson, who is
growing on me again). It's great!

17. Audrey: And I am now at level 9 of Adventurer. With a shift
tomorrow and the day after, I should hopefully make my lift
before Monday, which means my kids will have a wonderful
teendom, with good moods, and lots of free time!
Baldo: Speaking of good moods, Mom, would you please greet
that teenager there, before he walks away? I want my first kiss,
and I'm not at all particular about who gets it.

18. Grayson: From left to right, the papers have the following:
Athletic, Business, Medicine
Intelligence, Music, Culinary
Slacker, Military, Law Enforcement
Science, Oceanography, Music
Law Enforcement, Athletic, Politics
Intelligence, Adventurer, Entertainment
Brianna: Plus, there are two in my inventory to check daily for
Education and Law.

19. Brianna: And, of course, we can check the computer on Tuesday
afternoons, until Gamer is lifted and we can check it every day.
With the papers, we have guaranteed job listings. Tuesday is
going to be completely random, luck of the draw. But you never
know. We could get very lucky, indeed. With lots of skills and
friends, we could even start at level 6! I think Baldo and I should
wait until Tuesday to check the computer, before making our
final choice in careers.

20. Brianna: I put the stuff we can't use and don't want in Austen's
inventory, to take with him when he dies. I put the stuff we'll use
again later, such as the scratching post and toddler toys, into my
inventory, since I'm the heiress. But the Thinking Caps cannot
be easily replaced, should they be in someone's inventory when
they are scared to death by a ghost, so they will stay on the roof,
there to be shared by anyone who can use them.

21. Austen: Right now, I have a want to max all skills, but you know,
with me having maxed body, and not going senile as an elder,
there's no reason I couldn't try for my lifetime want as Hand of
Poseidon, right?
Audrey: You're right. And Grayson and I can go for our lifetime
wants, as well! I have to wait a day or two, but yes! Let's go for
it!

22. Baldo: That's fine for you guys, but I'm stuck! My lifetime want is
to graduate three children from college, and as the spare, that's
not going to happen. I'll have to get lucky with wants, and hope
for lifetime happiness to make me perma-plat.
Brianna: And I'll have to wait to become a City Planner for my own
lifetime want. Architecture is just not a high priority lift.
Baldo: Just lost my want for a first kiss. Great.

23. Brianna: The top floor isn't fully covered, so it's still cold in here,
but working out keeps me warm, so this is a fine place to
exercise. I even have a bathroom close by and can effectively
wash away the sweat. I love being a teenager!

24. Oh, Grayson, you should not have done that.
Grayson: … Are you going to punish me?
:sighs: No. I'm just going to hope that the entire family doesn't
come down with food poisoning from eating the stinky left-overs.
But it's my own fault for forgetting to turn the fridge around for
the day, and for delaying sending someone to cook the
hamburgers. I'm a bad sim-player.

25. And there's the first victim. The one person who really needs to be
in an excellent mood is the first one to come down with food
poisoning. Grayson, if this delays her lift for a week, due to her
having half the week off, I really will punish you.
Audrey: I think I'll go to bed now. Maybe that will help.

26. Brianna: GRANDMA! Not again!
Wow, she really targets you, doesn't she?
Brianna: She scared my brother once, and me three times.
Nobody else, at all! It's not fair! Also, now I'm starving and
about to pass out.
Please stay awake long enough to get food poisoning.

27. Audrey: My chances of a promotion today have gone down,
considerably.

28. Thanks, a lot, Grayson! I'm glad that the one skill you need for
your job is the one that you don't have. Study and work at your
career, instead of sailing along with all your skills already.

29. Austen: And of course we're all hungrier than usual, earlier than
usual, today. But this time, I'll make sure we're satisfied, and no
one screws it up.
Too late for your sister. I just hope she doesn't suffer for too long,
like your mother did. Five days of food poisoning was horrible!

30. I am happy to see you trying for your lifetime want, though,
Austen. You, I like.

31. Brianna: Hello, Jihoon. I need to make a lot of friends, especially
men, because I'm the heiress for the next generation. Want to
be mine?
Jihoon: Like mother, like daughter, eh? Sure! Why not?

32. Audrey: I worked hard, despite my mood, and I did it! I lifted
Adventurer!
Audrey, you are absolutely AMAZING! I love you so much!

33. Look at those beautiful mood boosters. Sure, they're in an
awkward place now, but they can follow the family around and
be wherever they are most needed.

34. And upstairs are two rewards to help build body skill with speed
and pleasure. This is so exciting!
Brianna: I think I'll move those two regular body trainers into
inventory. They're not as effective and we don't need them.
Good idea. That exercise bike has a bad reputation for addicting
sims to death, so... yeah.

35. Audrey: I am so glad I made my lift, and all, and I love the
rewards! Still, now it's time for me to go for my own lifetime
want. I'm going to become a Professional Party Guest.
Hopefully, I'll manage within the time it takes for my daughter to
have her own children, and I can be the cool grandma, who is
always in a wonderful mood to play with the kiddies.

36. Your mother chose to unlock Thinking Caps with Science.
Adventurer gives you a chance to choose one aspiration reward,
but only you can spend the points on it, and buy it once,
although you can buy as many as you want. What will it be?
Audrey: I'm going to save up, and buy a lot of ReNuYu
SensoOrbs. That way, my son, and others in the same boat, will
be able to change aspirations, and get a new Lifetime Want, and
maybe be able to fulfill it.

37. Brianna: I sure hope I follow in Mom's footsteps, and churn out the
promotions as fast as she did.
Baldo: Me, too! I also hope we get great job listings on our first
Tuesday. In careers where we already have the skills, so we
can start out high. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Brianna: It would! I may even wait to have babies until after I
make my lift, if I get to start out high.

38. Well, Grayson, I do hope you succeed at your lifetime want, but
there's no pressure now. I mean, yeah, it would be nice to see
all my little pixel people permanently platinum, but if you don't
get it, I will not shed a tear.
I will for Audrey and Austen, but not for you.
Grayson: Gee, thanks, Writer. Always nice to feel “loved.”

39. Baldo: Hooray for fulfillable wants!
Brianna: We are gonna be so skilled up by the time we're adults.
Of course, nobody needs to wash hands, anymore, so cleaning
and mechanical skills aren't happening. But we're doing great
on cooking, logic and body.
And it's now been 10 weeks, and time to pay $1500 in protection
money. A drop in the bucket of family funds.

40. Austen: We're not going to show every promotion for these
unnecessary jobs, are we?
No. Oooooh! There's a kitty behind you! Want to try again to
adopt?
Austen: Sure!

41. Austen: Sake! You must be meant for this family, since you let me
adopt you without any problems, at all. You don't know any
tricks, but that's not an issue. Teaching you will be fun! And I
have plenty of time.

42. Austen: With three neat sims in the house, serving up regular pet
food is best. Besides, if we ever get hungry, we can eat the
stinky left-overs. But with the two mood boosters, it's really rare.
It's so much easier to just fill your bowl every day than try to
make sure nobody cleans up your leftovers, just so that we can
eat fresh food we almost never need. I think Sake is going to
have a happy life with us.

43. That far-right paper has a position in Gamer! There's still one
paper left to cycle through each day, but if Gamer is lifted soon,
then the computer can be used every day, making job searches
much better.

44. Brianna: Don't worry, Sake. I'm a skilling machine, and I'll make
sure you have all the skills you need, too.

45. Audrey: With the kitchen downstairs, this living area is a lot less
crowded. I like it.
Baldo: So, after learning to Speak, what else does Sake need to
know? I'd love to have her lift Showbiz Pet before I run out of
fun things to skill.
Brianna: No kidding! I'd love to max everything, wouldn't you?

46. Audrey: And that's how you become as playful as possible.
Brianna: Thanks, Mom! Now I'm 10/3/10/10/10, and Baldo is
10/7/10/10/10. I guess between the two of us encouraging the
next generation, they'll be 10s, across the board.
Audrey: That's pretty extreme! Good girl!

47. Baldo: I think we'd build skill faster with the punching bag.
Brianna: Maybe, but it's more fun to share with you. I like doing
ballet together.

48. Komei: So, like mother, like daughter, huh? Are you gonna marry
the first man who comes along, once you're an adult?
Brianna: Obviously not. I can't marry Mr. Big, here. But he's still
good for the friend count.

49. Brianna: Grandma strikes again. I probably shouldn't have put her
old bed in inventory, but I wanted the better quality bed, instead.
Why does she always hit me?
That's a positive memory, though.
Brianna: Just because I'm a Knowledge sim, and get a positive
memory from it doesn't mean it doesn't tank my needs. At least
it's easy to mood up again, now.

50. Grayson: I'm halfway to my lifetime want!
That's nice, dear.

51. Baldo: I'm glad we're friends. Can you imagine if we didn't get
along?
Brianna: Why wouldn't we get along? We're siblings.
Baldo: Well, some of the kids at school didn't like their siblings.
Brianna: That's a thing? Wow.
Baldo: I know, right?

52. Audrey: Sake, you did it! Good girl! Hey, kids! Sake became a
Star, and lifted the Showbiz Pet restrictions. You can skill
anything now, even if it's not fun.
Brianna: YAAAY! Knowledge sim is happy.
Baldo: Well, it's practical, so I'm happy, too, even if I don't have
the wants. Well done, Sake! Hey, we can study Lifelong
Happiness, too. That's great!

53. Baldo: Of course, we have more responsibilities than simply
skilling.

54. Brianna: I'm wasting prime skill-building time, here, but my Writer
said I have to befriend you, because she likes your nose and
your kilt.
Brandon: Ummm, OK?
Brianna: Also, she says if you're low-level in a career, we can just
choose one for you, for optimal strategizing. I'm currently
thinking Military, Education, and Gamer.

55. Oh, look! A sim who is low-level in his career.
Jeff: Uh, can I have a little privacy, please, Writer?
And he even recognizes me. Awwww. Not bad for a non-legacy
sim.
Jeff: I said, PRIVACY!

56. Brianna: I can befriend three at once!
Yeah, if the game doesn't glitch again and not move those
relationship bars. By the way, of all of these men, Talin
Depiesse is the most practical choice. He's a Knowledge sim,
and most likely to be happy in an apocalypse. But without a
Military lift, you can't be too picky.
Brianna: You got that right, Writer.

57. Yeah, that didn't really work. Stupid game – you're supposed to
build friendships when they snowball fight!

58. Baldo: Chess is much better, even though it is for only one sim at
a time. Hmmm, maybe I should be the heir, after all.
Meadow: You don't mean to marry me, do you? Since I'm in love
with your uncle, that would complicate things a lot.
Baldo: True. Say, how about you take Sake home with you? He's
a good boy, well trained, and likes to meet new people.
Meadow: I can do that. We Townies love accomplished pets.

59. What do you say, Audrey? Want to make your son heir, instead of
your daughter?
Audrey: He has more outgoing points, so his personality is even
more extreme than Brianna's. But Brianna has my eyes. And I
kind of like the idea of a matriarchy, but it's not practical to limit
the genders in an apocalypse. It's a tough choice!
Maybe the first one to find a mate wins?

60. Brianna: Actually, I say we should make Baldo heir. It's silly to
choose based on gender and eye shape. Besides, I'm
Knowledge/Popularity, with a career-based LTW. Baldo is part
Family sim, and wants to graduate three children from college.
Why not let him have his chance for that? We want to open up
college, anyway.
Audrey: OK, Brianna. Baldo it shall be. And Austen can invite
Meadow over on Tuesday, since they're in love.

61. Baldo: Great! I'm so happy! So, Meadow, I guess that makes us
unofficially engaged. Can I hold your hands?
Meadow: Eww, awkward! First off, you're too young, and
secondly, your uncle is sitting right there. Look, I get the
limitations of your situation, and I'm willing to do my bit, when
you're grown up, but for now, I think I'd just like to go home, OK?

62. Austen: I better make out with you before you go, Meadow. Gotta
maintain those red hearts, or I can't invite you over.
Baldo: Oh, wow, this is so hawt! I'm so glad Brianna gave up
heirship for me!
Meadow: I love you, Austen, but I'm not digging the three-way
thing here. Look, I'll see you in a week and a half, OK?
Austen: I'll call you. We'll make it work. Discretion is key.

63. I just love this face, right here, watching the grown-ups make out.
Baldo's heirship is gonna be fun. A Romance/Family sim in
competition with his own uncle? Hahahahaha! I seriously did
not plan the drama, but for all practical purposes, it's the best
choice. The drama is just gravy.

65. Andrea: Your uncle is so hot!
Baldo: Tell me about it. His being able to invite over a woman on
Tuesday is one reason I've been chosen as heir. Why don't you
go flirt with my uncle for a while, and I'll watch. It'll be fun!
Uhhh, Baldo? What are you doing?
Baldo: Ensuring my chances of finding a good match when I
scope the room on my first Tuesday as an adult.

66. Austen: I'm growing old, while my niece is failing to adopt Kim.
Kim barely even acknowledes me, anymore. That is one tough
kitty.
Brianna: Nevermind. She rolled my wants, and now I'm gonna be
platinum again, soon.

67. Austen: Hello, lovely lady. Let me fall in love with you, so that my
nephew can befriend you.
Ashlee: I don't quite follow that logic, but OK. Sounds nice.
Baldo: You know, since she came home with you, we know she's
in Oceanography. Perhaps that's worth lifting early, after all. If
only we could ask what someone's level was... I still want
Military and Education, for college, of course.

68. Audrey: I was gold when I grew up, which gave me the “grow up
well” want, which pushed me into platinum.
Grayson: I don't think any of us will grow up platinum, but we
should at least die platinum, if we get our lifetime wants.
I just hope you last long enough to meet your grandchildren.
Although, I have a feeling Baldo is going to delay children until
after at least one lift is made.

69. You two have maxed all your skills. What are you studying now?
Audrey: Couples counseling
Austen: Anger management
So, planning for the dramarama to come, huh? Good idea, but it
will probably be less entertaining for me.
Austen: But more likely to lift restrictions faster without drama.

70. Audrey: I'm never going to meet my grandchildren, am I?
Baldo: Probably not, if I can only have twins. With three elders,
three adults, and two children, the house will be full, so if I am to
graduate three children from college, that means two sets of
twins, which means I'll have to wait until someone dies of old
age to make room, so I'll probably just wait until after we make
our generation's lifts. We only have room for all of us, if I only
have two children.

71. Baldo: We still haven't found a listing for the Education career. I
don't suppose you know anyone in that career? Someone
marriagable?
Jack: I couldn't tell you if I did.
Baldo: Darn those Intelligence restrictions! If I can't send my kids
to college, then I'm going to lift Intelligence. Military, Gamer, and
Intelligence for generation three. And I'll just miss my LTW.

72. Grayson: I'm an old man, now. Just marking my time until I make
my lifetime want, or not, and waiting to go to the great bowling
alley in the sky.
Hey, you're still useful. You can befriend a pet, or introduce your
children to co-workers. It's good. Anyway, I'm liking you more
these days. You don't have to worry about me just shutting you
in a corner again, Grayson. You're part of this family now.

73. Baldo: Being the heir is more challenging than I thought. It's a lot
of responsibility to decide the strategy for the next generation.
So many variables to consider.
Plus, you have to remember to pay protection money. It's $1650
this week.
Baldo: Criminal is not really a high-priority lift, but eventually it's
going to become too tiresome to continue.

74. Grayson: I brought Joe Carr home with me from work today. That
means he has some sort of job in the Medical career.
Baldo: Thanks, Dad! Medicine isn't such a high priority, now that
we have the mood-boosters, but it's still very good to know.

75. Austen: I don't know if it's right for adults, but there's a listing today
for elders in the Education career.
Brianna: That's a great sign! Hopefully that will work out for me
when I grow up. In the meantime, I'm making friends.
Education requires a lot of them.
Austen: I'll put this on the roof, then.

76. Congratulations, Austen! You just fulfilled your lifetime want. What
are you going to do now? And don't say you're going to
Disneyland.
Austen: Actually, I thought I'd get a job in Education, and see who
I might bring home from work.
That is an excellent idea. It's still almost a week until Tuesday,
after all. It would be great to have a lover in a field we want.

77. Audrey: I'm perma-plat! I think I'll get a job in Gamer, now, just to
see who comes home with me. Also, I'm going to put as many
ReNuYu SensoOrbs on the roof as I possibly can. Having the
ability to change aspiration isn't just about getting a good lifetime
want, after all. It's also about improving chemistry with the most
practical mate.
That's true. Why not let Baldo change to suit his spouse? Or vice
versa, I suppose.

78. Audrey: Lucky thirteen! That's how many ReNuYu SensoOrbs I
was able to purchase with my aspiration points. No one can buy
any more until someone is abducted by aliens, but this should do
for a good while.
As long as no one is too picky, and goes through five of them
looking for a specific lifetime want they can achieve as a teen,
sure.

79. Audrey: This paper had a listing for Gamer in the jobs for adults,
but apparently, elders get a different listing.
Brianna: Which means that Education listing that is supposedly on
hold for me on the roof may not be, after all. Flergle!
Audrey: Watch your mouth, dear. Strategies change. Deal with it.

80. Baldo: Well, sis. We're both in the green, with one day left until
we'll be forced to grow up. We should go ahead and grow up
now, so we can get started on our lifts.
Brianna: I have a fear of not going to college, so I'll go into
aspiration failure. Let me finish befriending Joe Carr first. I'd
hate to have him leave while I'm clucking like a chicken.
Baldo: OK. I'm going to grow up and check that last paper.

81. Baldo: I want to flirt, and have my first kiss, and join Law
Enforcement, and max my Tinkering Enthusiasm. Well, it's not
my lift, but I can use the aspiration fodder. I'll just double-check
all the job listings on the roof, take Law Enforcement for the
aspiration, and then make sure we have what we need for this
generation. I WANT Military, Education and Gamer, but at the
very least, Military and Gamer, so that we can move sims out
before they die, and invite friends over any day of the week.

83. Baldo: I don't know what my wife's career will be, but if she's
Military and higher than I am by Tuesday evening, I'll quit my
job. In the meantime, I'm getting started on my lift. A Military lift
means we can invite over anyone we want, regardless of
relationship, plus walking to work, which means we aren't tied to
the carpool. And it doesn't matter that I can never take the job in
Law Enforcement again. It gave me 1000 points, and that's all I
needed.

84. Brianna: Since I'm going to tank my aspiration when I grow up, I'll
wait until Tuesday to get my career. I can see what Baldo's wife
has, and use the computer to check for jobs. I'm still hoping for
Education, actually. In the meantime, I can boost aspiration
back up with skills and I can increase the friendship count.

85. Brianna: Meadow! I saw you passing by, and thought it was too
good an opportunity to pass. Why wait for Tuesday, when we
could move you in today. My brother will be home, soon. And
since my uncle hasn't brought home anyone promising in the
Education career, there's no point in waiting for Tuesday for
some sort of harem reunion. We have options to increase
chemistry, after all. Come on in and stay warm until he arrives.

86. Meadow: I find you attractive, now that you've grown up.
Baldo: Yes! Writer, I'm going to like being married to Meadow. As
soon as I figure out the best configuration for chemistry, I'll use
the ReNuYu orb, and get us up as high as we can.

87. Baldo: Now that my uncle has left for work, will you fall in love with
me and marry me right away? We can try to keep the romance
discrete while he's alive, and save babies for later.

88. Meadow: Oh, yes, Baldo! I'm happy to marry into such a rich, I
mean prestigious, family!
Baldo: I promise to make you happy, my love. And now that I
know it's just you, I won't even have to flirt with any of my uncle's
lovers. They can remain just platonic friends for the friendship
count.
