StyleSeat is a platform for beauty students to build an online portfolio to showcase their work and skills. It allows students to upload photos of work, create a service menu, and get online bookings. Students can also access free education resources from Milady and build their professional network by connecting their profile to their school's page on StyleSeat. The platform gives students an opportunity to gain experience and build clientele as they work towards graduating and entering the beauty industry as professionals.

8. Student Sign Up
Go to www.styleseat.com/signup and check the box that says “Student”
OR
1. Find your school’s page by going to google.com and searching by
school name, campus location, and the word “StyleSeat”. i.e.: Ogle
North Dallas StyleSeat

3. Follow the simple steps to creating your own portfolio!

9. Student Sign Up
Click the button so you can start sharing
your page and speed up the sign up flow

10. Student Sign Up
Enter your expected graduation date. If the date changes, you
can always go back and edit this.

11. Student Sign Up
Your services should be
reflective of your school’s list of
services and your school’s
prices. If you’re no sure, you can
always go back and edit them.

12. Editing your profile
Now that you’ve created a profile, you can go to “My Profile” to
preview your page, and click the “edit profile” tab to begin

13. Upload your photos
Go to the “Manage Photos” tab in “My Profile” to upload photos. For

14. Get your profile to 100%
Go to “My Home” to the “my business” tab and check your “Today at
a Glance”. Click on “Tasks to be Done” and check out what’s steps
are left to get your profile looking amazing!

15. What can I do with my portfolio?
Upload photos of your work everyday and share it on Facebook / Tweet if out
Send an email to all your friends/clients asking them to come “like” your page on
StyleSeat
View your schedule anytime online or on your mobile phone (iPhone)
Build your personal client directory by adding contacts to your “Clients” tab in “My
Home”
Build up client recommendations on your StyleSeat page
Access education from Milady. Get tons of free articles and tips from Milady in the
Education tab in “My Home”
Create a web site with lots of praise from clients that you can use by the time you
graduate!

16. Calendar Use the scheduling tab to book internal
appointments with your clients.
Call your receptionist to let them know you

17. Check out your daily stats
Go to your stats tab in “My Home” to see how many people have visited your profile

Most hearted photos: A
summary of your most loved

Page Views of your profile:
The total number of times
your profile has been viewed
by visitors.
Weekday breakdown of the last
4 weeks: new bookings, online
bookings, etc.
Daily breakdown of new
bookings: new clients, new
online bookings, etc.

18. Photo Hearts
Photo hearting is a way for clients to let their pro know that they love what
they’re doing. We’ll be doing some cool contests and filtering around
photo hearts, so make sure you encourage your friends/clients to heart
your photos.

19. Photo Commenting
Anyone with a Facebook account can come and comment on a photo in a
student gallery. Just click the photo and start complimenting!

20. Download the StyleSeat Mobile App!
Just go to the App store on your iPhone or iPad and
search “StyleSeat” and download the App for FREE.
Access your schedule on the go
The StyleSeat App has an activity feed that
let’s you see when people have hearted your
photos or left you recommendations!
Take photos of all your work and instantly
upload them to your StyleSeat portfolio.

21. Client Recommendations
You can see recommendations from clients by going to “My Home” / “my
business” / “Today at a Glance”. If you approve it, you can click the Facebook
box and share your recommendation on your Facebook page and post it to
your StyleSeat profile as well.
