The study examined the challenges faced by Latina women in K-12 public school administration positions. It found that the women acknowledged their gender and race created barriers to obtaining leadership roles. They faced discrimination during hiring and negative perceptions due to low representation. The women concluded the experience gave them greater cultural awareness and they now want to promote diversity. The study used critical race theory methodology to analyze the experiences of people of color with racism and subordination.
