2. WHAT IS RYLA?
RYLA stands for Rotary Youth
Leadership Awards, and is a
leadership development program
run by Rotary.
From throughout District 6930
students are awarded
scholarships to attend RYLA
camp.
The students traditionally
represent high school grades
nine through eleven, and their
scholarships are provided by our
Rotary clubs.

UMATILLA, FLORIDA

LEAD!
RYLA is designed to help young adults grow, connect, and flourish!
Campers will learn:
• Leadership fundamentals & ethics
• Communication skills & presentation techniques
• Problem solving & conflict management
• Community & global citizenship
• Team Building
5. THE ELKS CAMP IS A BEAUTIFUL AND
MODERN 405 ACRE COMPLEX
Benefits: modern cabins, gymnasium, cafeteria, meeting rooms, licensed
instructors, rope course, archery, canoeing, camp fires, and much more!
9. THE DETAILS
• This year’s RYLA dates are December 6-10, 2017
• Students will complete school on Wednesday the 6th, then depart at
4:00 pm to the Elks Camp on a chaperoned bus.
• Return will be Sunday the 10th in the early evening.
• Applications for RYLA camp can be found on the district website here

• Applications must be submitted no later than October 30th,
2017
• Applicants should be high school grades 9 – 11
