Player’s commitment
As players you will be responsible for:
 Participating to your fullest in training and games.
 Contacting the appropriate people1 hour before a training or game if you are unavailable
to attend and produce a note at the next appropriate time.
 Uphold the values and vision of St. Clare’s College
 Routinely check St. Clare’s College sport website and Sentral. Failure to do so will result
in missing game times, information and important dates. No consideration will be given if
you do not check these platforms.
Player’s Code of Conduct
Safety and Health of Participants
• Place the safety and welfare of your team, opposing team and all involved above all else.
Playing excellence
• Accept and challenge yourself to learn new skills.
• Participate completely in all aspects of the sport.
Honour the sport
• Act within the rules and spirit of your sport.
• Promote fair play over winning at any cost.
• Respect the decisions of officials, coaches and administrators.
• Show respect and courtesy to all involved with the sport through words and actions.
• Show commitment to the team and sport above social events.
Integrity
• Act with integrity and accept responsibility for your decisions and actions.
Respect
Respect players and encourage them with positive and constructive feedback.
Respect the rights of every one involved with your team.
Do not tolerate abusive, bullying or threatening behaviour and if these situations do arise
please let your coach or the Head of co-curricular sport know.
By signing the attached registration form you have agreed to abide by the policies and
procedures expected at St. Clare’s College. If this agreement is not followed you will have a
meeting with the Head of Department and jeopardise your opportunities to play in the future.
