1. PROJECT ABSTRACT
The project is to design a wall system of a fashion boutique in a three-
story building, and it has a flat roof and parapet and floor-to-floor height
of 11’-0” maximum. The wall will be the street facade of a small building
on a typical San Francisco mid-block lot, 25’ wide with adjacent buildings
left and right abutting the building. The facade includes; an entry door
with a canopy; windows, some or all being operable, some or all with solar
control; and at least two exterior finish materials. From the process of
this project can learn how to control every part of details. The wall section
and its related elevations, plans, and details provide a significant portion
of a completed description of a building. It is a process to prepare to
develop a high level of competence in the technical aspects of architectural
design through exploring a wall section.
