3. COLLABORATION
• Teachers need to encourage collaborative work in the classroom and also
encourage collaboration 8using ICTs.
• These can be done by encouraging group work or peer assistance in the classroom.
• Learners can use software like google groups, presentations and social medias to
facilitate their collaboration.
• These will help learners to be able to work in team, and to also collaborate with
others to get new information and ideas.
4. KNOWLEDGE CONSTRUCTION
• It is important for teachers to encourage knowledge construction in the classroom
so that the learners will be able to become critical thinkers.
• These discourage things like memorization.
• The learning design encourages learners to under take tasks which encourage
research and applications.
• It will help learners to be able to solve problems that they come across in the
society.
5. SELF REGULATION
• The 21st century learning design encourage teachers to develop learners to become
self regulated learners by allowing them to learn to discipline and control over their
learning.
• These can be done by allowing learners to do some tasks without supervision and
also set a target for them.
6. ICT USE FOR TEACHING AND
LEARNING
• The learning design encourages the use of ICTs for teaching and learning on a
regular biases in the classroom
• These will help the learners to be able to learn in an effective way.
• The use of ICTs is encouraged in subjects like Mathematic, Science and other
learning areas to better the understanding and learners and make learning more
enjoyable .
7. REAL WORLD PROBLEM SOLVING
AND INNOVATION
• They encourage teachers to give learners tasks that encourage learners to get
involved in real world problem solving and also to come up with innovative ways to
the problem.
• these can be done by allowing learners to conduct a research on issues which the
out come is unknown and come up with innovative solutions to the problem.
• It will help learners to become critical thinkers to wards global issues that they cone
across.
8. SKILLED COMMUNICATION
• Teachers need to also encourage and enhance skilled communication in the
classroom.
• The skilled communication is when learners are able to connect a set of ideas and
be able to communicate them using things like ICTs in a form of verbal and written
communication.
• these will help to build the learners confidence to communicate their thoughts in a
way that is understandable and effective.
