you've walked a day in his or her shoes." Choose a fictional or real person
and walk a day in his or her shoes . Write about it.

your story’s title and the lyrics for your plot.

would they be and what would you ask them? Write a brief dialogue.

would you do with the money?

Editor's Notes
Introduction- Break the ice questions?
How many of you are writers or have written professionally?
Have you ever written a letter, created a list or flyer, wrote an invitation? (Then you are a writer)
What is a writer? One who writes (Merriam Webster Dictionary)
A writer is someone who creates a written word (My definition and segway to creative writing)
As a child, reading and my late brother, Jesse (also a writer and poet) inspired me to begin writing poems and stories as a child.
As an adult, my inspiration come from culture, history, and music (blues and jazz)
Graduation - It is never too late to realize your dreams
Writing is a way for me to express myself and to release the pain life often brings and record the joys that we often overlook.
My writing is mark on the world and proof that I was here. The written word lives on long after you’re gone.
I write fiction, poems, non-fiction, screenplays, and I have been journaling for about thirty years.
With creative writing you get to express feeling and emotions instead of just presenting the facts.
Writing and Critical Thinking Skills – Allows you to organize your thoughts
Gives you a voice – With the movie “Precious”, the writer Sapphire gave a voice to many children who suffer from child abuse.
Therapeutic - When I sought counseling, I was encouraged to write my thoughts and feelings and it was very helpful. Through writing, I was able to come to terms with my feelings and move on.
Phenomenal woman is the celebration of womanhood and self-acceptance. It is one of the best examples of not only creative writing but self-expression and its message crosses all racial and socio-ecomomic boundaries.
