Since our first WinterFest in 2011 one didn’t need to leave Jacksonville to enjoy a true winter
experience…Adventure Landing TRANSFORMED our massive Shipwreck Island Water Park into
a frosty Alpine snow village complete with ice skating, ice slides and snow. We zipped up the
parkas and transported guests to a charming Alpine event that gave the whole community of
Northeast Florida and visitors alike, a taste of winter…with real ice…at the Beach!
3. Unique Selling Points for Shipwreck Island
Adventure Landing’s Shipwreck Island Waterpark is the premier waterpark on the First Coast. The
park is equipped with several waterslides, a wave pool and even a lazy river. From the 22nd of
November, 2013 to the 12th of January, 2014, the park will transform into an Alpine snow village,
complete with nightly snow falls, a 130-foot long ice slide dubbed the “Alpine Racer,” an ice skating
rink, carnival games and seasonal craft areas such as sugar cookie decorating. Sponsorships are
available to have unique advertising opportunities throughout the village such as storefront window
displays in Blizzard Bluff Village.
