1. Creative Critical Reflection
How did your production skills develop through this project?

2. At the start of this project, I had past experience with
Photoshop, as I was more familiar with how it works and what
it can do for me. Therefore I chose to use it throughout this
project. I feel that my personal development has come from
using programs that I hadn't used before.

3. New Programs
I had never heard of “WordPress” before, and now I use it
almost every day. I was pleased to discover how easy it is to
use, enabling me to use it efficiently. Using Emaze was new
to me, having never used it before. I tried Prezi, but
discovered soon after that it wasn't for me. I found it quite
confusing and complicated to use. Using the LinkedIn service
“SlideShare” to upload a presentation from Google Slides
was also new to me. I had to use it because not everyone has
access to the Google services.

4. As for my experience with Adobe Photoshop, I've always
liked using it. It can be confusing and frustrating at times, but
in general it’s easy to use. That’s why I decided not to use
another programs for editing my photographs. There are
many others out there, but Photoshop is my personal
favourite. I use it outside of school too, which is why I know
how to use it.

5. Lucidpress
My first interaction with Lucidpress was at the start of this
project. I had never heard of it. At the beginning it seemed
quite daunting, but as I used it more and more, it got easier.
There are several features I used more than others, as would
happen with other programs/software. The ability to add
custom fonts was crucial to this project, because the fonts I
wanted were not available. I feel like my skills in this software
have developed the most.

6. Emaze
I don’t really like using Emaze, because it has a lot of issues.
At times, it wouldn’t let me log in, or even edit my own posts. I
used it to learn about new programs, but in the future would
avoid it. Besides the negative arguments, it’s like any other
presentation production software.

7. Prezi
Prezi is another presentation software, but the way the
presentations are is different from anything else. I used to use
it all of the time for school presentations, but since then the
user interface has changed. The change made it so that
some things were harder to find, and made it more confusing.
This meant that i stopped using it, and chose to use different
software.

8. WordPress
WordPress is a blogging platform, run on an open source
software called wordpress. I used it for the entire project, as a
way to have my research, planning, production, and reflection
all in the same place. The website is immensely easier than
other blog-based sites I have used in the past. The layout of
the site is well-designed, and the overall functionality is good.
It does what it needs to, and that’s its appeal to me.
