Jung Woong “JW” Park is a professional business manager with multidisciplinary knowledge, expertise and experience. His deep understanding of international business practices and superb ability to understand and communicate with international business executives are the strong assets he has accumulated during his past career while leading at various top executive positions within multinational business entities. He has built up his knowledge and experience in business management, international business cooperation, and networks among the leading business communities in Korea and major foreign countries during his 14 year tenure as the Executive Director of International Operations of the Federation of Korean Industries (FKI), which is the private business organization comprising Korea’s top 500 business corporations including the business groups of Hyundai, Samsung, LG, SK.
His broad network and contacts among the top management of Korea’s leading business firms remains one of his greatest assets.
He was responsible for the promotion of private sector initiatives for international cooperation for trade, investment and technology transfer between the business communities of Korea and major advanced countries. In addition, He organized and managed a number of private sector led bilateral economic cooperation committees with Korea’s major trading partners in the world. He was the Korean side Secretary General for various bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation committees including Korea–UK Committee (with CBI), Korea–Germany Committee (with BDI), Korea–France Committee (with CNPF), Korea–Brazil Committee (with CNI), the Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC), and Korea–ASEAN Business Club (with special focus in Indonesia, Malaysia).
