FOREWORD
Currently, updating accurately and timely the advanced technologies - financial -
global trade information is an important basis for the research - production planning
and business planning for the development policies in the future of a business. The
economic - political events have huge influence to global finance and trade, if the
enterprise capture that information, they grasp more favorable opportunity than other
businesses in the competitive environment of today's tough market economy. This
shows the importance of the translation company in today's economy. Translation can
help businesses expand their business on the world market, eliminate language barriers
between nations.
CNN Translation Company is an enterprise established since 2005. The company has
built a name for himself in the translation industry in Vietnam and has reached the
world market. The company has become one of the leading translation companies in
Vietnam.
Within one month internship in CNN Translation Company, I had the opportunity to
study and learn more about the working environment of the company. This synthetic
report is made on that basis.
The report is divided into 3 parts:
- Part 1: An overview of the company
- Part 2: Business activities of the company
- Part 3: Achievements and limitations in the business operation of the company
Due to internship period only in the early stages, combined with my limited ability, the
report is certain to have some mistakes. I wish I would receive the teachers' comments
to make the report more complete. In the process of writing the report, I would like to

thank MA. Ha Thi Vu Ha, the supervising teacher and all staff, especially the sales

Established on 19 May 08 2005, after more than nine years of operations and

domestic as well as internationally such as Intel, IBM, ABB, Quintiles, Viettel,

Vietnam Airlines, Vinamilk, FPT, Mobiphone, Ford Vietnam, Yamaha , Honda,
Toyota, Brainworks, Panasonic, General Department of Vietnam Customs, Ministry of
Finance, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Public Security, the Department of Safety,

Dinh Khac Tuan is the current President and General Manager of CNN Company.
Prior to assuming this role, he served as the Senior Director of the CNN Infrastructure
Support Division, comprising Human Resources, Information Technology and

strategy, process, system and management assessments and . He always puts efficiency
and quality in work production in the first priority. He is also vice president of the
Asian Association of Translation Industry (AATI) and is also the founder of the
Millionaire House.
Roles and functions of each department in the company:
- Board of Directors: To exercise the rights and duties assigned in accordance with the
provisions of the Enterprise Law 2005, relevant laws.
- Translation Department: To receive all translated articles and undertake translations
accurately and fast, check the quality of translated articles from translators and
collaborators by the experts before sending to the Project Management Department.
- Project Management Department: To identify objectives, works and estimated
resources needed to implement the project; distribute resources including money,
labor, equipment, coordination and time management; monitor and inspect the project
progress, analyze the implementation, synthesis, evaluation and reporting performance
results and propose solutions to solve the problems during project implementation.
- Sales Department: To manage all business activities: setting up a business plan,
finding out and analyzing the market, building customer incentives, seeking markets
and developing sales activities to potential clients.
- Department of Finance and Accounting: To advise the company's leaders in the field
of administrative operations and financial accounting of the company, advise
orientations and measures, regulation of financial management, implementation the
financial decisions of directors and implementation of accounting work effectively and
economically, avoid waste, regulations, regimes under the current regulations.
- Human Resources Department: Security for corporate human resources are managed
and used effectively, to advise and assist the Director of the organization and
personnel, labor, wages, emulation reward, inspection, security and defense, legal.

- Marketing Department: to promote the products and services, widely promote the
image of the company, guide and answers any customers’ complaint.

2.1. The main markets of CNN
CNN Translation Company is one of the prominent suppliers in the language industry.
The company provides language services with more than 170 languages in all
expertise fields. The criteria of the company are: Accuracy, high quality, the fastest
speed and the best customer service.
CNN Translation is proud to offer the best language service for businesses,
governmental agencies and non-governmental organizations. The services of the

With solution center in many countries, EN ISO 15308 standard quality management
process, the team of localizing languages all over the world, the experts, advanced

many companies, business organizations, multinational companies. If this market is
exploited well, it will bring big revenue and profits to the company. However,
Australia is also a picky market with strict trade barriers and fierce competition among
companies from different countries as well as local companies.

Europe is a huge market with many members, including the important markets of CNN
as the UK, Germany, France, etc. In these countries, CNN has a professional and
enthusiastic team of collaborators.

US is leading economy in the world. There are a lot of companies, multinational
corporations in here. However, this is a very volatile market. Therefore, in order to
penetrate into the US market, CNN needs to improve the quality of services and build
a good image in the eyes of customers.

nearly 4 billion, in 2012 the revenue was more than 4.8 billion and in 2013 the
revenue was nearly 7 billion. The revenue in 2013 was 1.72 times higher than those of
2011 and 1.42 times higher than those of 2012. Therefore, the revenue rising to more
than 6.8 billion shows that business activity in the field of translation of CNN is now
growing more and more.
2.5. Assessment of the advantages and disadvantages of business activities and the
use of English in the company
