Position Title: MANUFACTURING ACCOUNTANT - LEAF
Reports to: MANUFACTURING FINANCE MANAGER

Focus
Support the Demand Chain team to ensure that business results are achieved. Specifically and proactively
manage the achievement of the following KPIs:
Key Accountabilities
• Provide all KPI reporting requirements. These are Variable cost report, stock duration report, Wastage
report and Production Performance Measures report.
• Carry out and Deliver accurate Co plan number for Leaf
• Prepare Company Plan for Manufacturing CAPEX.
• Carry out Material Ledger Closure within set timelines
• Tracking & Monitoring of Manufacturing Budget.
• Coordinate the implementation of audit points raised by internal, external and international audit regarding
the Product costing.
• Deliver on Coplan savings targets.
• Drive improvements in waste levels.
• Provide Cash flow forecast on material requirements.
• Ensure Account balances within my responsibility are accurate and complete at each period end.

• OTIF closure of Material Ledger and timely circulation of monthly reports.
• Provide accurate cash flow forecast on material requirements

indirectly with Op’s Finance processes.

detail.

Business Context
• The jobholder is functionally part of the Operations Finance.
• The job of Manufacturing Finance accountant is demanding. This is due to complexity of leaf, Huge
Capex which must be spent OTIF and huge budget for Manufacturing must be tracked keenly. Proper
understanding of SAP is needed.

target/plan resulting in cost efficiencies and work simplification.

Knowledge & Skills
• The Asst Manufacturing Finance accountant will have a complete understanding of Cost Accounting
procedures and the interrelationship/interfaces between Accounting and operations.
• He should have a Finance Professional and have a Professional Accounting qualification. A University
Degree is mandatory.
• The complexity of operations within OP’S Finance requires an individual within strong management
and interpersonal skills. The sensitivity of areas like Procurement, Accounts payable & Manufacturing
requires a mature individual with proven strengths in the exercise of judgement.
• Sound knowledge of BAT operations and their financial implications across all functions is essential for
effective performance in this job i.e. Procurement, Demand planning, Accounts payable, Audit and
Manufacturing.
• The Job holder must have individual and strong management and interpersonal skills.
• Effective leader of new initiatives and teams of professionals.
• Excellent communicator and motivator of change. Proactive, persuasive and creative.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within Operations and to handle relationships with external
parties.
Technical
• Qualified financial / accountant with a great understanding of auditing principles.
• Able to collect data from various sources and to perform analytical review of them in order to ensure
accuracy and timely output to management
• A comprehensive understanding of budgetary concepts, standard costing and general accounting
procedures
• Should already have performed role of management and/or financial accountant
• Understanding of excise management
• French and English speaking.
