Sourcing Intern-Raw Materials Sourcing
Responsibilities
Improve gypsum sourcing practices by developing a sourcing notifications calendar and an
organized set of supplier profiles.
Collect and communicate gypsum raw material sourcing data for evaluation and decision
making on purchasing, resource, and inventory strategies.
Expectations
 Reduce risk of missed contractual deadlines and alternatives by capturing all key
contractual dates.
 Provide the gypsum division with a more detailed source for contractual obligations.
 Gain and capture knowledge of customer/supplier relationships, how they are
maintained, and how to improve them.
 Inform resource allocation decisions with data collected through complexity review.
 Increase gypsum division knowledge of supplier spend leverage, supply risks, financial
risk, strengths, opportunities.
 Execute receivables of fiberglass mat safety stock for the West Columbia facility with
100% accuracy.
 Track and communicate divisional warehouse inventory progress towards safety stock
goals.
 Create cost alternatives for backup critical raw material logistics to inform resource
allocation.
 Develop KPI’s for material manager to track facility adherence to raw material risk
philosophy.
