prEface
In japanese, « NEKO » means « cat » and « KOMORI » means « bat ».
Nekomori, it’s 5 original characters created in 2005 by the designer
Marion Baylé and the musician Maxime Tisserand with an unbridled ima-
gination. Their cute and crazy characters are a mix of japanese culture,
manga and pop culture in a marginal spirit. We find their characters through
innovative collections of fashion accessories, lifestyle products and design
items.

LOGO
Fundamental elements of identification, the logotypes are not defor-
mable. Drawing, typograpghy and color can’t be transformed. The
symbol and the name are indivisible.
NAME
Nekomori is in the basic typography Debussy modified for
the logotype’s need.
Blank RESERVE
For each logotype, there is a version in blank reserve.
Its use is recommended on the supports which have the same color
as the logo to guarantee its readability.
For the black logotype version, use the blank reserve version if the
background is black or very dark.
For the pink logotype version, use the blank reserve version if the
background is pink or close to the pink.

Each color must be printed first in four-color process. The rough translations in direct tone are only indicated
to answer specific restraints of printing.
The translations in pantone TP are indicated for a « textile » use.
AUDIOVISUAL & WEB
The translations in RVB and in HTML are indicated for the professionnal uses respectively intended
to audiovisual and internet supports.

6 / uses & proscriptions
USES WITH COLORS
The approach consists in always give priority to the good reading of the logotype.
It must give priority to pictures with a background quite neutral (strong presence of tint areas) or dark back-
grounds with logotype in blank reserve. The use of pictures in black monochrome is also advised.
It’s highly advised to use in background one of the colors of the global color’s range.
PROSCRIPTIONS
It’s forbidden to modify the position of the name Nekomori, to separate the different elements of logotype,
to change the typography or to change its size compared to the symbol.
It’s forbidden to use the logotypes in other colors than the ones presented.
Besides for the logotypes 1 and 4, the white parts must always stay white and never can’t be put in trans-
parency.

7 / PROTECTION zone
To do not disturb the logotype’s impact, an area is delineated around its where any text or any visual
elements can’t appear. This protection zone is simply delimited : the measure unit is the 1st
letter of the logo-
type, so the letter « N ».
For the supports where there would be many graphic elements, it’s recommended to extend the protection
zone to let the logotype « breathe » and do not be distracted by the other graphic elements.
PROSCRIPTION
It’s strictly forbidden to place an image on the logotype in the reserved part of the protection zone.

THE TYPOGRAPHY DEBUSSY
This typography contributes to install the brand’s personnality and is an integral part of the identity.
It has been specially deformed for the logo’s needs.
Debussy is only used for the headlines : title, subhead, half title, introductory paragraph, and in type sizes
bigger than 9 pt. It is used in uppercase or in lowercase to rationalize information.
THE TYPOGRAPHY WALKWAY BOLD
The institutional covering typography, Walkway Bold is a neat and round character assuring a good
reading comfort of texts. The declension Walkway Oblique Bold is usable for captions.

The Nekomori family is composed of winged cats, a bat and a pink
poney : the Nekonurse, the nurse cat, and her faithful riding poney
Mister K, Komo, the bat, Demoneko, the half-angel half-demon pussy
cat and Superneko, the mysterious and disputed cat super hero.
This funny family lives in the mysterious lands of Nekomoriland, a parallel
world guarded by a little waitress named Bunny Bun Bun, living in the
Shibuya district in Tokyo.
The Nekomori have the skill and the style to make new friends
always in crazy circumstances.
That’s how they made friends with Snoop Dogginou, the gangsta dog,
Mc Krab, the whining shellfish and the totems chamallows, sacred
energy catalysts characters.
Considered the rythm of their adventures, that forebodes many new
friends very soon.
