  1. 1. . C. Lesson Proper Activity 1: Know me better I will divide the class into half. One group to this side, and one group here. I have here a group of words that you need to puzzle together to form a clause in only 1 minute. Please refer to the set instructions. 1. After a count of 3, all of the members will puzzle the scrambled words. 2. After you've already formed a clause, you need to underline the noun and circle the verb. 3. Paste the formed and identified clauses on the board and categorize them into their correct placements. 4. Once you are through, all of the members will stand and clap three (3) times to be recognized. 5. After everyone is done, one member is to be selected to explain the output. Are you done? Okay, the first group to finish will decide who goes first. Good job class, give yourselves three claps. (The class is listening) Yes sir! (The first recognized group is deciding) (Class clapping)
  2. 2. 7 Types of Basic Grammar Clauses There are 7 types of grammar clause these include Independent/Main Clause, Coordinate Clause, Relative Clause, Subordinate Clause, Noun Clause, Adjective Clause, and Adverb Clause. 1) Independent/ Main Clause This type of clause can stand alone and make sense. There are many different types of independent clauses, but it’s important to notice that they all contain a subject and a verb. Independent Clause Examples: - I like to swim. What is the subject in this clause? By looking at the clause we could see that the verb swim is referring to the I which is the subject of this clause. Next, we have the example - My sisters are coming over tonight. Can you identify the subject and verb in this sentence? So, what is the subject? How about the predicate? That’s right very good! A clause is an independent clause if it contains a subject and a verb, and can make sense on its own. The main clause is the (They raised their hands) (Someone raises their hand) My Sisters Ma’am Coming over ma’am
