To Whom It May Concern:
Manisha Sriram has successfully completed the University of California, Irvine’s (UCI)
Campuswide Honors Program and has received the distinguished Campuswide Honors
notation on their final official transcript and diploma.
The Campuswide Honors Program, of which I am the director, is highly selective,
admitting only the top three percent of UC Irvine’s most outstanding students. The
program is dedicated to promoting high standards of scholastic excellence and personal
growth by combining the qualities of a liberal arts college with the unique opportunities
offered by a major research university.
In addition to the required courses in their major, our honors students complete three,
demanding, interdisciplinary, year-long core course sequences that provide broad
introductions to the Arts and Humanities, the Sciences, and the Social Sciences. Students
also complete an undergraduate research project with the guidance of a faculty advisor that
culminates in an honors thesis. Participation in this program indicates not only strong
academic ability but also the willingness to accept an intellectual challenge and tremendous
personal motivation and persistence.
Those completing their degree with Campuswide Honors can be expected to go beyond
the expertise of their major. These students are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and
experience to think, speak, and write clearly, and to construct and evaluate arguments
from a variety of perspectives.
I invite you to learn more about the Campuswide Honors Program and the opportunities
it provides for its honors students at www.honors.uci.edu.
Sincerely,
Charles E. Wright, Director, Campuswide Honors Program
and Professor of Cognitive Sciences
