Project execution:
Coordinate people and other resources to carry out the manufacturing plan:
o Budget management
o Completion of Tasks
o Staff management
o Select of Subcontractors
o Send and receive information between client and subcontractors
Project Monitoring and Controlling:
Ensuring that project objectives are met by monitoring and measuring
progress – Taking corrective action when necessary
o Project Change control
o Project Risk monitoring
o Project Scope verification
o Contract monitoring
o Project performance reporting
o Manage reserves
Project closing:
Formalizing acceptance of project or phase
Bringing the project or phase to an orderly end
o Obtaining formal acceptance for product from customer
o Final reporting
o Knowledge transfer
o Archive project materials
o Project documentation

Projects generally don’t go 100% as planned resulting into variations
from plans in scope,time, cost, quality

o Avoid using obsolete drawings and designs for execution
o Serves a very good engine for future use of project data
