2. 1. To gain knowledge and experience on the operational aspects of agricultural
technology being used by the farmers through field visits.
2. To develop communication skills in interns by effective use of extension
methods to make them better extension worker through group discussion,
Kisan Chaupal.
3. To help the interns to understand and appreciate the agricultural problems of
the village with special reference to constraints in the application of latest
farm technology through interaction with the farmers.
4. To acquaint the interns with the functioning of various agricultural
researches, development, agro-based marketing industries, extension
agencies and other allied organizations involved in rural development.

4. 1. VISIT TO BOTANICAL GARDEN
Mint (Mentha sp):- used in toothpaste for dental problem and in refreshments like
menthol candy.
Aloe vera :- used in cosmetics.
Coleus (Coleus forgikorii):- used as a remedy for kidney stone problem.
Lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexousus):- used in tea inplace of lemon & for citral
extraction.
Kalmegh :- used as a remedy for diabetes and jaundice.
Tulsi (Oscimum sanctum):-grown as a holy plant and has various medicinal properties.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera):- used for treatment of hypertension.

500ml conical flask and 10ml K₂Cr₂O₇ is

dist.water and 10ml orthophosphoric acid
added A pinch of NaCl and 1ml diphenyl
amine added through pipette.It is then
titrated with Ferrous Ammonium
Sulphate.

Insurance coverage is given even after harvesting in case of cyclones and failure or excess of rainfall.
Satellite technology will be used to calculate the amount of crop loss.
