  2. RNA 的序列是轉譯成蛋白質的訊息 (mRNA) ,每三個小單位成為一個密碼 ( 例如上面的第一個密碼 AUG) 。另外,需要一種專門用來運輸胺基酸的 tRNA ,每種胺基酸都有其特定的 tRNA ,這群 tRNA 的一端接著其特定胺基酸 ( 如 Met) ,另一邊則是反密碼 ( 如 UAG) ,會與 mRNA 上面的密碼互補接合;如此就可按照 mRNA 上面的密碼,利用 tRNA 把對應的胺基酸一個一個接上去。當兩個胺基酸被帶到一起時,核糖體上面的 rRNA 就會把這兩個胺基酸連接在一起 ( 向右箭頭 ) 。
  3. 胺基酸 一個一個接上去, tRNA 任務完成後就獨自離開,漸漸形成蛋白質的長鏈。
  4. 蛋白質 的長鏈形成,最後脫離製造蛋白質的核糖體。
  5. 當合成 足夠的蛋白質後,這條帶有重要遺傳信息的 mRNA 很快就被銷毀。
  6. Central Dogma 發生在原核及真核細胞中,可說是所有生物細胞必定遵循的基本生命法則。只是真核細胞的整個流程,比原核細胞稍微複雜;而兩者的主要差異,在於細胞核的有無,也因此在各自的基因表現上,有不同程度的調節控制手法。 原核細胞好像單身宿舍,吃飯睡覺全在一間小房間中進行,一切快速有效,也沒有複雜的規矩;而真核細胞好像住三房兩廳的房子,有隔離的臥室 ( 細胞核 ) 、客廳 ( 細胞質 ) 、廚房 ( 粒線體 ) 、浴廁 ( 溶脢體 ) 、走道及樓梯 ( 內質網 ) 、玄關 ( 高爾基體 ) 等,住起來較舒服,但是打掃運作較繁複,而且規矩可能很多。 C1-22
