The Lynx project aims to build a multilingual Legal Knowledge Graph (LKG) of European legal and regulatory open data to provide smart compliance services. The LKG will integrate annotated documents from different legal domains and jurisdictions into a single data structure represented in RDF and JSON-LD. The Lynx Services Platform will offer services like document summarization, search, named entity recognition, machine translation, and more to analyze legal documents from multiple languages. Pilot demonstrations will apply these services to areas like contract analysis and labor law compliance.

8. The Legal Knowledge Graph
How to represent multilingual, multijurisdictional annotated
documents from different domains (law, standards…)? SoA...
Identification and description:
- ELI in EU and some member states
- Different identifiers in other member states
- Different for non-legislation
Content structuring:
- CEN Metalex, Akoma Ntoso (LegalDocML) in some
countries
- AKN4EU still draft, different formats for other
legislations
- ... and for other document types
Annotations:
- NIF prevailing, no consisting JSON-LD described
9. The Legal Knowledge Graph
The idea of Lynx document:
• One single data structure
• Data model is the LKG ontology
• Able to be validated with RDF Shapes
• Standard JSON-LD version
• Annotated with NIF
11. The Legal Knowledge Graph
Beyond …
• Graph of documents
• ...linked to terminological data
• ...linked to other local entities
• ...linked to other external entities

• Summarisation
• Document Manager & Search Service
• Named Entity Recognition (NER)
• Machine Translation
• Relation/Geo/Time Extraction

• TIME: At 2 o’clock, 5pm.
• SET: every Thursday, twice a month.
• DURATION: two days and a half, three years.
• INTERVALS (ongoing): From 3rd of April to 6th May.
17. Temporal Expression Service (2)
Once the previous expressions are found, they are normalized.
